Lynn Smith: Beautiful 10 point walks out to visit the decoys during a pintail hunt, a crazy buck fight story, running off a deer during the rut, Captain Mickey's little spike story, a deer with 17 points on one side, letting him spread the genepool around the ranch, it can be very beneficial for deer to move around from ranch to ranch, it's fixing to be lele and hot rod season.

 

Blaine Friermood: It's pouring rain down here, deer are just starting to come to corn, the green stuff has been eaten up, the doves are still full down here, very happy for the dove customers, giant toads jumping around about the size of a basketball, not experienced one rattlesnake during the entire dove season, the time to shoot a big buck is when you see him!

 

Steve Hillman: Looks like I'll need a new wheel and tire for the trailer, so thankful for the people who go the extra mile for us, some criminal activity, pulling his hair out over an almost skunked trip, flip her sideways and pray for the best, the Mirrolure provoker in texas roach with a chartreuse tail was catching the bigger fish, we hit a brick wall on Wednesday, went to dink city, ended up right where we started white caps hitting our feet,

Glenn Hammond: Showing big goose eggs on the wind meter, bring on the weather, you got any rods and reels, founding fish at every single spot, accuracy casting is key, two tropical storms in a moth, you think my blood pressure is up, not letting the day get boring, and seeing the first hand the loss of habitat, and bring your own garbage bag to clean up after yourself!

 

Tommy Alexander: Has a company boat outing today, so we will likely be in the river this morning, not too many options when the weather goes bad, pour water on the ground and up comes a new guide, a lot of boats in the river and intercoastal.

 

Tex Bonin: Baited up and bad day, the larger cats wouldn't turn on, the dam side of the lake, we have a roving pack of squirrels at the house, seen one nice shooter buck on the camera, what's going on with the duck weed.

 

 

Lynn Smith: Someone killed a big 8 in full velvet, how the deer cams have held up and what they've captured so far,  quite a few solid 8 point deer that need to go.

Bill Watkins: He and Captain Mickey talk cleaning armadillos and or red fish, where's the red fish tournament when you need it, every once in a while the fish will stop, got to have a lot of fish to have a lot of slicks, they are an amazing fish, oh no another slimer, what color soft plastics is Captain Bill throwing right now, all of the tide runners left with laura.

 

Richard Tatsch: Caught some thick catfish yesterday, and one big blue cat, where the good protected shorelines of Conroe, is the North East wind any good on the lake, gonna go flat bill with a square bill, targeting funnel points for the big bass.

 

Charlie Paradowski: Are you an animal? The good fish off the bat then going sour, the rise in water temperature is a struggle, still lots of boat pressure with tournaments going on this weekend, tomorrow's cold front then...nothing! Being a little chubby helped when getting stuck by a stingray.

Mike Jeffcoat: Changing sides of the river with the wind shifts, tried to go after some big bull reds yesterday, stuck my nose out and didn't go a mile, tired of picking these things up, caught almost all males and over 40inches, the big romance last month, never seen a shark eat a gafftop before, trying to eat the trolling motor, Russian sub might be sunk there, there's that UFO they've been looking for, gonna go open up a can on em.

James Plaag: Staring at this south wind, go play golf when the weather is bad, going back and checking on old spots, burning gas to find zero fish, if we had 14in limits we could have full limits, but it's a pencil fest, if you ran east bay yesterday you would've shot yourself, fishing shell is the key, root canal fishing.

Sharky Marquez: Ready for this cold front, first time welcoming strong winds in a while, ready for the fall to get here, running around acting like I know what I'm doing, still catching lots of slots and bull reds on fresh shad and menhaden with 1-2oz weights, has had a nice little founder bite yesterday.

Kirk Stansel: Guides going back out this morning for trips, went out yesterday and had a limit of trout within an hour, duck marshes are in great shape, fish will start to stack up in the marsh, fared okay during the latest storm.

Steve Hillman: Four tide days aren't always better, sometimes the water movement can be very little, we need another cold front, water temperatures have crept up a few degrees, Friday and Saturday of next week look like a blowout, cold front on its way late next week, wanting to go to the ranch more.

Glenn Hammond: Boy does that thing work, tides were 2.5-3ft during this last weather event, just sitting back and watch, ready to start throwing soft plastics, purple with a cartruce tail and roach colors work great, looking forward to getting out on the bay this week.

 

Tony Gonzalez: Had three trips this week, went and fished something a little different, love hearing and telling stories, had a proposal after a fishing trip, putting you on the dock, in my office now, Sicko's are lurkin, no shrimp only mullet, tide was a super bull, redfish right on the grass, caught 10-11 reds up to 24in, caught a ton of dinks for trout and 1 keeper, some really good looking deer are showing up too!

 

Jeff Naylor: Had to tell people to stop we had so much meat in the boat, the blackfin tuna bite is red hot, yellowfin bite is turning on starting last week, some studs have been caught over in Venice, seeing if they will migrate over here, redfishing in Florida is quite an experience, the history of Berkley gulp! for inshore tournaments, jalapeno on a jighead, running two open boat trips this next week so get in contact with Jeff!

Lynn Smith: Winds are picking up, tides are down some from yesterday, ice bucket challenge, looks like the water has fallen about a foot, water was over the road yesterday, not many crowds this week, not coming out of the heavy brush, hunting dogs, will need to harvest some Doe and Cull bucks this year, sometimes there are just too many does.

 

Tex Bonin: A year older and still at it, 79 years old, weather messed us up a little bit, had some rock solid catfish these past weeks 4-6 pounders.
