2 Peter 1:1 Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus

Christ, To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the

righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and

peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our

Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to

life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by

glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great

and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of

the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world

Romans 5:17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned

through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s

abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in

life through the one man, Jesus Christ.

In His abundant provision of grace we reign

1. God desires that Grace & peace be multiplied in us

2. His grace He provides all requirements for godliness

3. Precious promises fulfilled makes us divine partakers

4. Like Christ we are called to reign in life by His grace

5. The grace of salvation, justification leads to dominion

Romans 8:29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose

them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn

among many brothers and sisters. 30 And having chosen them, he

called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them

right standing with himself. And having given them right standing,

he gave them his glory. - (NLT)

2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit

of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we, who with unveiled

faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his

likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord,

who is the Spirit. - (NIV84)

Genesis 5:1 This is the written account of Adam’s line. When

God created man, he made him in the likeness of God. - (NIV84

When will we share the nature of Christ ?

1. God’s purpose is that we are part of His divine family

2. In falling man was removed far from His presence

3. God walked with Abraham to transform his nature

4. Is the nature of Christ visible in us as in Abraham?

5. Jesus walks with us to transform us into His likeness

Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season

for every activity under heaven: 2 a time to be born and a time

to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot.. 11 He has made

everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the

hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from

beginning to end. - (NIV84)

Psalms 48:14 For that is what God is like. He is our God forever

and ever, and he will guide us until we die. - (NLT)

Psalms 116:12 How can I repay the Lord for all his goodness to

me? 13 I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of

the Lord. 14 I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of

all his people. 15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death

of his saints. - (NIV84

God set eternity into the hearts of men

1. I am the only God - from eternity to eternity I am God

2. A time for everything - He set eternity into our hearts

3. At His time He planted us for the day of harvest

4. The perishable will be clothed with the imperishable

5. We can’t understand God’s works beginning to end

1 Peter 5:10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal

glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore

you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. - (NIV84)

2 Corinthians 3:9 If the ministry that condemns men is glorious,

how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness!

10 For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the

surpassing glory. 11 And if what was fading away came with glory,

how much greater is the glory of that which lasts! 12 Therefore, since

we have such a hope, we are very bold. - (NIV84)

The God of all grace calls us to eternal glory

1. Paul did testify: By the grace of God I am who I am

2. The God of all glory called you to His eternal glory

3. All grace is for our benefit overflowing 4 His glory

4. Obtain understanding about the all surpassing glory

5. Transformed into His image to ever-increasing glory

James 1:25 But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that

gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has

heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does. - (NIV84)

Matthew 5:43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor

and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you: Love your enemies and

pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of

your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and

the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are

not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only

your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even

pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father

is perfect.

2 Corinthians 13:4 For to be sure, he was crucified in weakness,

yet he lives by God’s power. Likewise, we are weak in him, yet by

God’s power we will live with him to serve you. - (NIV84)

1 Corinthians 1:27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to

shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the

strong. 28 He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised

things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29

so that no one may boast before him. - (NIV84)

Matthew 19:13 Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to

place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked

those who brought them. 14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come

to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs

to such as these.” 15 When he had placed his hands on them, he

went on from there.

Do not be afraid of your weakness

1. The disciples didn’t understand value of weakness

2. Jesus won the greatest victory over evil in weakness

3. Your strength is in your confidence of His grace

4. God will manifest His power when we accept failure

5. We first must learn humility before we can see victory

Grace unto you for a perfect year

Ezekiel 47:1 The man brought me back to the entrance of the

temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of

the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water

was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south

of the altar. 2 He then brought me out through the north gate and

led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and the

water was flowing from the south side. - (NIV84)

1 Corinthians 10:1 For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact,

brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud and that they

all passed through the sea. 2 They were all baptized into Moses in

the eyes of the LORD. 9 This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was

a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. 10

And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. - (NKJV)

2 Peter 2:5 .. he did not spare the ancient world when he brought

the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of

righteousness, and seven others; - (NIV84)

Finding grace in the eyes of the Lord

1. At the threshold of judgment God connected with Noah

2. Those who seek the heart of God always get noticed

3. When you enter Grace your life will change for good

4. Noah became righteous, blameless & walking with God

5. Grace makes us obedient and useful for God’s plans
