Often times we're going through so much of our own stuff we can't possibly see how we could be called to lead or help someone other than ourselves. But that is precisely the time to do it. Odd right? Yea, I know. But in the midst of our storms and struggles we have a story, lessons we are learning that we can pass along. And on the flip side, taking the focus off our issues and leading others through theirs has a very different effect than one would think. You typically find out you've worked through your own stuff simply by putting it aside and putting someone else in front of you. I was recently asked for book recommendations from a friend of mine and after talking a bit, I felt like "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz would be the best fit. While working out today, I started thinking about this book and one of the Agreements. That Agreement was "Be Impeccable with your Word". I thought back to being an 8-9 year old kid when twice that I can remember someone let me down and didn't keep their promise or commitment to me and how that affected me. Obviously more than I thought, after all I am pushing 47 this year and nearly 40 years later here I am podcasting about it. Anyway, I discuss this and how it is imperative that we do our best to keep our word and if we cannot to have a decent reason why we cannot. Communicating that is important. It's a brief "On The Go" episode so I hope you enjoy. Not in the studio on this one! Thanks for listening and please continue to share, like, review, comment & subscribe!
This episode is simple. I heard a phrase on a podcast I listen to called: The Sean & Sax Show and boy did it resonate. "I am not afraid of new love, I am afraid of old pain". Boom! Yes...that is what this episode is about as I talk about my personal struggles with that. Outside of that, I send condolences to Shock G's family (RIP), talk about a run in w/a podcast listener, sharing investment awareness w/others and how things get harder as you continue on your journey to changing the narrative of your life. I hope you enjoy...thanks for listening and please continue to Like, Review, Subscribe, Share & Follow!
I know. I know. It's been a minute. But, I am back with a full episode. We've got a lot to catch up on and this episode will do just that. I talk about the passing of DMX & Black Rob briefly. Also, on a lot...yes a lot of family stuff this episode. For instance, we went on a hike recently (my boys and I) and their Mom joined us...first time we've ever done that. Deep conversation about that. Not something you'd think would happen after a divorce...but it did. I also share with you our 3 year anniversary (my boys and I) of our baptism, our return to church and how that went. We also did a great road trip in yet another #MolinaBoysPlaycation lots to share with you all there! It was a great trip...Finally I wrap it up with some talk about investing and teaching my boys to do so as well and them making their first official investment into the crypto currency world! Yep, my kids officially own DOGECOIN! Yea, a lot...so let's dive in....I hope you enjoy. Please Like, Share, Review, Follow, Subscribe!
Is your life complicated, stressful and cluttered like mine was 4 years ago? Do you spend all your money on buying things you really don't need or use? Or maybe you just can't seem to get yourself to get rid of things you really never let see the light of day? I have some tips for you that may help you de-clutter your life and simplify your bills and more. In this episode I tell you how Minimalism changed my life and helped me get a good grasp of my home and my finances. I hope this short episode helps you like it did me. It's normal for things to get stressful and for us to at times lose our cool. But when it begins to happen more frequent and it starts to really mess with your peace and get you off course, it's a problem. Those are times I have to be reminded of what got me to where I am and that I am not the same man I was before. In fact, I am much different because I have made it my mission to be better and do better. Here's a little story from the other day where I had to step aside and be reminded. I hope it helps you too....Thank you!
Often times we think we've hit rock bottom and think, well this ain't too bad...I can do this. Then, rock bottom actually hits and we're faced with a cross road of giving up or powering through. Last year when Covid hit, I was faced with a very tough situation that I thought for sure would break me. It didn't. It made me...this is my story. I promise, you will survive even your darkest time if you do not give up, keep your faith and continue to push forward. If this story speaks to you, please share with someone who needs the message. Thank you...
Ever feared you'd lose your hunger? Your drive? The very thing that pushed you to change who you are because you have finally hit that turning point in your life where things seem to be getting better? Yea, I know...me too. That is where I am right now and to be quite honest, I am terrified. I am trying to make sure I remember what got tme here at the same time as I "let go" of the past. It's not an easy thing, but I discuss that here. I hope you enjoy and if it hits home or you feel someone should hear this, please share it! Thanks!
