The Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated and has brought pre-existing health inequalities into sharp focus. But what can we learn from the last 2 years and how can health professionals close the health gap? What can healthcare professionals do when individuals facing greatest deprivation are not only experiencing higher risk of exposure to the virus whilst already living with existing poor health and multiple comorbidities?

Over a year-and-a-half has passed since Covid 19 is thought to have arrived in the UK and it’s believed that nearly a million people are still suffering from the effects of Long Covid, a condition also known as Post Covid Syndrome. And, with such a variety of symptoms in such a new illness, treating the condition is far from straightforward.

So how could a personalised approach to care help people suffering with the condition?

Nuffield Health has created a rehabilitation programme encompassing patient involvement, participation and co-design.
