Aaron J. French is a post-doctoral researcher in Religious Studies at the University of Erfurt in Germany. His main research focuses on the History of Esotericism, the History and Philosophy of Science, Sacred Space and Architecture, modern German Philosophy, and Science and Technology Studies. In this episode we discuss Rudolf Steiner's 'The Philosophy of Freedom'Text link: https://rsarchive.org/Books/GA004/English/RSP1964/GA004_index.html
Correction: According to the Introduction by Michael Wilson (150th Anniversary Edition), the 1922 English edition with the title “The Philosophy of Spiritual Activity” – which is the first English translation of the 1918 expanded German edition, also translated by the Hoernlés – was in fact published while Steiner was alive (in 1922 – not after Steiner "had passed away," as Aaron erroneously suggests in the interview). Moreover, it was published with this new title “at theauthor’s request,” meaning that Steiner ostensibly agreed with the title change in English.---
