What follows is an in-depth report on what qualities someone must possess to be "so raven". This Disney Channel millennial favorite is, honestly, a conceptual 50 car pileup, and the universe it inhabits is so weird we only get a chance to scratch its surface.
We seek to answer the question of whether or not this is a good Dark Souls tabletop adaptation, but the more pertinent question is whether or not what's special about Dark Souls can captured outside of video games. Steamforged made an attempt at a Dark Souls board game, and we don't really like it. However, they distilled its best parts into a faster card game, and it works a little better! Listen for the particulars of how it works, and how it relates to Souls' unique mechanics.
Kole, Ben, Dennis, and David talk about Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Mortal Shell, Metroid: Dread, and more!
The Grind:Everything To Guppy is a bite-sized, four-times weekly comedy/gaming podcast in which Gary Butterfield (Watch Out For Fireballs) and William Hughes (The A.V. Club) attempt to analyze every single item, boss, character, and concept in the rogue-lite video game The Binding Of Isaac. They manage to pull it off only slightly less than 50 percent of the time
Avengers Academy #33
Reminder that you can read along with and ahead of the show by subscribing to Marvel Unlimited (we don't get paid for you doing that, so it's not an ad, it's just a cool service). You can also use Comixology, or buy the trades from your local comic book shop (the preferred method, if we're being honest). Be sure to check with your local library to see if they have them there! We start the new year with an old classic, covering Super Mario Bros. 3. This was Nintendo's biggest effort on the NES, and it deserves its reputation. This episode concerns itself with comparing and contrasting Mario 3 with the rest of the series, talking about the things it introduces, and hitting the design principles of each of the game's eight worlds.

A bittersweet episode about self discovery, the Venture Halloween special hits in a weird spot. It's technically supposed to be the second episode of the series, but its status as a special might make you ignore it. And that would be a mistake, because important lore stuff happens here.
Special thanks to Joshua Jarett for our cover art, Gwen May for our theme song, and Brayton Cameron for being our announcer.
