Reminder that you can read along with and ahead of the show by subscribing to Marvel Unlimited (we don't get paid for you doing that, so it's not an ad, it's just a cool service). You can also use Comixology, or buy the trades from your local comic book shop (the preferred method, if we're being honest). Be sure to check with your local library to see if they have them there! Kole, Ben, Dennis, and David talk about qomp, the most recent No Man’s Sky update, and we ask you to invent game-themed drinks.
The Grind:You know, there's nothing wrong with an above average fastfood sandwich. Sometimes, your body just craves a pretty good game that does everything decently, while not doing anything exceptionally well, and is over in 5 or 6 hours. That game is Ratchet and Clank, which is a total snack game with some unintentionally hilarious pathos and very satisfying weapon upgrades.
Thank you Sean!
The odds are always stacked against a sophomore effort. The original Myst was a gigantic success and had a huge cultural impact, finding fans in unlikely places due to its advanced graphics and leisurely pace. Cyan knocked it out of the park when it came to Riven, though, improving on every aspect of the original Myst, while expanding it and making one of the most challenging puzzle adventure games of all time.

In what is undoubtedly the worst episode of Season 2, the Ventures head to the White House for a ceremony honoring Bud Manstrong, who apparently heroically saved humanity while the space station Gargantua-1 crashed into Earth. While there, we get tired jokes about presidents, learn the metaphysics of Ghost Lincoln, and get misled about the potential for a Manchurian Candidate twist.
Special thanks to Joshua Jarett for our cover art, Gwen May for our theme song, and Brayton Cameron for being our announcer.
This week, Everything To Guppy takes a break from its usual item-by-item conversation to do a deep dive into all the new ideas, strategies, and content in the brand-new The Binding Of Isaac: Repentance expansion.*
*A rental copy of the 1991 Dan Aykroyd comedy Nothing But Trouble may be required to tease out the more advanced nuances.
They killed Marlow Briggs on the wrong day with the wrong scythe. So an ancient Incan god king has revived him as a spirit of vengeance, Captain Planet-like! This game is actually competent, so we spend time talking about how the only reasonable way to spend money if you're a billionaire is to restore your hometown to exactly the way it was when you were ten.
Here's a brief appendix episode where we read your responses to Remnant: From the Ashes! We'll be back next week with our coverage of the Demon's Souls remake.
Everything To Guppy is a bite-sized, four-times weekly comedy/gaming podcast in which Gary Butterfield (Watch Out For Fireballs) and William Hughes (The A.V. Club) attempt to analyze every single item, boss, character, and concept in the rogue-lite video game The Binding Of Isaac. They manage to pull it off only slightly less than 50 percent of the time.
