The Pitch

Do Wizards make good cops? Well, "good" cops. How about, would Wizards be efficient cops? That's the question XCOM-inspired Tactical Breach Wizards aims to answer. They can arrest people with magic! Too bad the criminals have magic too.

Rocky Rodent is a dine-and-dashing menace, and one of the most unsavory-looking characters we’ve discussed on this show. Everything about this IREM Sonic clone is off, in the way SNES slop tends to be. We also talk about ringmaster and bellhop uniforms, for some reason.

In this episode we get greasy and do mummy stuff.

Other Segments:

• Legends and Lore: Characters from Baldur's Gate 1 and 2

• The Complete Wizard's Handbook: Achieving Immortality

• Fiend Folio: Mummy Lords

Though the Abyssal Woods and Midra’s Manse aren’t huge areas gameplay-wise, we adore their lore and story so much that we had to camp out for some extra time. So this episode concludes our discussion of Midra’s Manse, and a long talk about what Midra and Nanaya’s deals were. Next episode we hit the big man himself and talk about the rules of Frenzy in The Lands Between.

Kole, Dennis, Jala, and Moxie talk about Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Dying Light 2, Along the Edge, and much more!

The Grind:

• Kole: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
• Jala: The Thaumaturge. Strange Brigade. Paper Sorcerer. Along the Edge.
• Moxie: Fortnite. Dying Light 2.
• Dennis: Carrion. Elite: Dangerous.

The Multiplayer:

• Title of the Year results.

The End Boss:

• Majora’s Mask had voice commands.
• Live action movie adaptations for Helldivers 2, Horizon, and Exit 8 announced.
• Dreams on a Pillow, a game about the Nakba, funded.
• Tango Gameworks shows signs of life after being rescued.

How big is a game? How small is it? These questions are a matter of perspective, and Superluminal is here to teach you about perspective.

The film that nobody asked for, and yet all we have left are questions. One thing the film certainly doesn't leave misunderstood: that sand? That's time sand. Not that the* prince uses it much.

*There is more than once prince.

One monster, one grift, one INCREDIBLE TV SHOW

You likely don’t know what Spider-Man: City Raid is. It’s not a big budget title like the the Activision movie tie-ins or the recent Insomniac titles. In fact, it has no official license at all. It’s a Flash game made purely for the love of Spider-Man, and the Ram Jam song “Black Betty” for some reason.
