Our summer mod series begins with the big one: Daughters of Ash. Created by a user named Grimrukh, it purports to be what From would have made if they had an extra six months of development time. This is not strictly true. While there are some cut content features restored, the ambitious part of this mod is its extra story content and changes to the routes you take through the game. It's not all 100% successful, but we cannot deny that it's an impressive effort and worth your time if you're a fan of Dark Souls and feel like you've memorized it completely.
This is the first part of a three part series. In this episode cover the Undead Burg, the Undead Parish, Blighttown, the Depths, and the Lower Undead Burg. Note that these are the areas' original names, not the names Grimrukh gave to them for the mod.
Everything To Guppy is a bite-sized, four-times weekly comedy/gaming podcast in which Gary Butterfield (Watch Out For Fireballs) and William Hughes (The A.V. Club) attempt to analyze every single item, boss, character, and concept in the rogue-lite video game The Binding Of Isaac. They manage to pull it off only slightly less than 50 percent of the time.
Factor X #3
Reminder that you can read along with and ahead of the show by subscribing to Marvel Unlimited (we don't get paid for you doing that, so it's not an ad, it's just a cool service). You can also use Comixology, or buy the trades from your local comic book shop (the preferred method, if we're being honest). Be sure to check with your local library to see if they have them there! Kole and Jala gather to talk about the Steins;Gate series, specifically focusing on the sequel Steins;Gate 0. These are sci-fi visual novels about a group of college students who accidentally discover time travel, and find themselves working against huge violent conspiracies and causality itself to avert World War III. We really recommend them if you're looking for something gameplay light and can handle some of the more annoying tropes when they pop up (before being subverted).
This episode takes us back into the tangled, bloody, and hilarious world of Agent 47. While HItman 2 could be called a mission pack or an expansion pack, we don't think there's anything wrong with that. The fundamental play has not changed, outside of a handful of features and adjustments. What has changed is the size, density, and quality of the levels. Hitman 2 is a veteran studio at the height of their powers, and we're so happy to share this little love-fest with you.

We catch a strange breeze here and ride it until our sails fray. In the depths of summer, an uninspired platformer causes us to turn toward attacking and dethroning Santa, holiday porn, and how plausible it is to live as a killer for hire. This is continued in the next episode.
