There are five physiological adaptations that happen as a result of 2 hour-long runs.
One is that your circulatory system, particularly the fine capillaries, develops to circulate blood to exercising muscles and the second adaptation is that you teach your body to more readily metabolize fat and burn fat at your aerobic base. Three, lung efficiency is greatly improved to bring more oxygen to your mussels. Time on your feet helps your body adapt to the distance and get stronger.

Sick and Fat - How I Juiced and Ran My Way Back To Health
This is my story, my documentary of how I did it in one year. In 2013 I started on my road back to health by eating (gluten, Dairy and Soy Free), juicing and walking. As the months went by I found that I had more energy and felt amazing. So I decided I would start running because my walking was taking a long time. Yes, I was up to 15Km twice a week and needed to free up some time. So I thought a couch to 5k race would do it!!! This was such a personal victory for me. Going from 266lbs to 204lbs by going Gluten, Dairy and Soy Free (Yes I'm a vegan now and things have changed even more) Now that the 5km is done I'm going to sign up for a 10km and then work my way up to the marathon. At first, I was intimidated by the thought of running a marathon but with the proper training I know I can do it. Thank you for following my journey and for supporting me while I trained for this. In today's video, I talk about the running goal and the results.
