"Emigrant Tales of the Platte River Raids' author Janelle Molony shares her book and research into the first-hand witness accounts of the survivors of the Platte River Indian raids of 1864. Members of her family traveled with the Earps while other families who names became a part of history, like Ringo, Boone, Brown, all left vivid accounts of the deadly raids which until now history has pretty much overlooked. There some interesting side stories in this interview, including the story of John Brown's family, a handful of which were involved in his raids, and so were traveling under another identity, were being followed by angry Missourians who wanted to kill them for the Confederate cause.
