Steve Palazzolo from Pro Football Focus joined the show. Steve said Diontae Johnson has been graded in the low 70’s this year by PFF which is “good” by their system, but he lacks the downfield ability of most #1 WRs. They only have him connected to two dropped passes. Steve said Kenny Pickett had two “turnover-worthy” plays and one of them was the interception he threw. Steve agreed with Poni that Kenny had a good first start given the offense only scored 3 points and he certainly showed more than Mitch Trubisky did in his starts. He said Kenny has thrown a lot of accurate passes beyond the sticks, which scores very well in their system. Chris asked about George Pickens, who has seen his grades skyrocket since Kenny has become the team’s QB. Steve said he would force passes to Pickens if he was patrolling the Steelers offense. The guys asked Steve about what possibilities there are with Calvin Austin inserted into the offense and whose targets he may take. Steve said he trusts Najee Harris, but Jaylen Warren is right on his heels because Harris looks worn down. Poni asked what the Steelers lose if Minkah Fitzpatrick does not play against Tampa Bay. He said there is no real physical drop off with Tom Brady.
