BREAKING NEWS: Deshaun Watson will not face criminal charges. Following that news, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler joined the guys to talk about that news and listed some teams that may be interested in Watson, including the Browns. Jeremy didn’t have high expectations for the Steelers getting into the mix on Watson, nor did he think the Steelers would spend highly in free agency. He said they have “mild” interest in Mitch Trubisky. Jeremy also didn’t have high hopes for where the team would spend on the open market, giving lukewarm answers to names like Bobby Wagner, Ryan Jensen and others.

An ESPN insider used the term “cheap” when describing the Steelers spending habits. The main concern is how they handle that term with the quarterback position. The guys think if the Steelers go cheap at QB, they must load up at other positions of need for not just one year, but multiple. 

Our guy Arthur Moats joined the show. Arthur dove into the state of the Steelers in free agency as it starts next week. Arthur said if big money isn’t spent at QB, a player like Ryan Jensen has to be a target on the offensive line. Arthur laid out a few different avenues the Steelers could take on the open market. Steve is high on Carlton Davis and thinks a move like that would be more beneficial, given the team’s history, to sign a corner like that instead of a big name offensive linemen. Poni asked if the Steelers should’ve made the move for Russell Wilson because he gives any team a better chance of winning. Steve did not endorse a move for Mitch Trubisky and doesn’t think it will help the Steelers much. He added that he doesn’t envy the position the Steelers are in heading to free agency.

The Steelers QB dilemma is still alive with so many names remaining out there. Reports say Mitch Trubisky would take less money to play for the Giants than the Steelers. The guys discussed if more QBs have the same thoughts. 

Former Texan Seth Payne joined the show to talk Deshaun Watson. Seth described how crazy the Watson situation truly is. He shared what teams Watson could be interested in, what it would take to get him, and why Pittsburgh could be a destination. He also mentioned what the reception could be like for Watson once he gets back into the league. 

Bob Huggins got ejected in the first half of the WVU game and Poni declared this year the worst in his college basketball life.
