   Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo from the PG joined the show. Ray confirmed that Joey Porter Jr. did leave practice with a trainer today, coincidentally at the exact time the media was allowed to view practice. Ray said it’s very tricky with a back injury for the team to call out the player for not being genuine. He said the Steelers may ‘have to make a call here’ soon regarding the entire situation. Ray said it’s been very difficult to get a clear answer from anyone on just about anything regarding the Porter situation. Ray gave us the latest on Troy Fautanu and Michael Pittman, who missed practice yesterday. Ray said the WR position will be right back to square one if Pittman can’t go this weekend. Will we see Max Iheanachor make his first start on Sunday? What are the trade prospects for Porter looking like? Ray said the players have not turned on Porter and doesn’t believe they are very close to that, after a few players backed Porter as recently as today.

   Steve Palazzolo from the 33rd Team joined the show. Steve can’t believe that he is still answering questions about Joey Porter Jr. every week. Steve said ‘he’s just not an elite corner.’ Steve added that he would categorize Porter as ‘good, not great.’ What could the Steelers get for Porter in a trade? Steve doesn’t think it would be a 1st or 2nd round pick, since it requires a payday to Peezy. Steve was mad at Poni for falling for the TJ Watt proclamation that he was given a negative play for his pick six Sunday afternoon by Pro Football Focus. It turned into a little argument over PFF’s overall grading system.

This changes the equation quite a bit. The guys both admitted to miscalculating the situation and thinking we were at the point where we would see Porter playing on Sunday. Now, it’s hard to be very sure of that.
