   Number 3: Ben DiNucci reacts to Steelers keeping 4 QBs

   Former NFL QB Ben DiNucci from CBS Sports joined the show. Ben played under Mike McCarthy and was the perfect guy to ask about Big Mike keeping 4 QBs on the Steelers 53-man roster. Ben was the QB3 in his first year under McCarthy and he mostly stood around at practice until injuries forced him into the fire. So, what will it look like with 4 guys? Ben expects Aaron Rodgers to get a ton of reps as a guy who never really takes a practice off. Ben thinks McCarthy will still be the main coach for the QBs and it’s not just an off-season thing. Ben said he didn’t see any glaring things that Will Howard did in the preseason that was better than Drew Allar. Ben understands Will’s position as a fellow late-round pick that hung around the league for a few years. Ben wondered if the room will still have 4 active QBs next week or long into the season. Ben talked about the open mind young QBs need to have and why that may explain his reasoning to keep all 4. How does Ben view Mason Rudolph as the team’s backup QB?    Number 4: Broderick blasts the Steelers

   We saw the introduction of Broderick Jones in Dallas yesterday after the Steelers sent him there via trade Saturday night in exchange for a 3rd and 6th round pick. The Steelers also sent a 4th rounder to the Cowboys. Jones didn’t mince words – he said the Steelers screwed him up. Jones did a lot of moving around in his time here because the coaching staff pandered to Dan Moore time and time again. Is he right? The guys pointed out some recent Steelers that have gone elsewhere and thrived, to a degree. Names like Kevin Dotson and Devin Bush come to mind. That used to never be the case.

   Steelers reporter Brooke Pryor from ESPN joined the show. Brooke labeled this as a ‘bonus’ week of work since the preseason is over, the roster is set and the regular season doesn’t begin for nearly 2 weeks. How many moves will we see the Steelers make from their initial 53-man? Brooke thinks Kevin Jobity is likely the first person to go if the Steelers shuffle around some of their roster. Brooke also expects Eli Heidenreich to be on the chopping block if the team can’t find a way to use him on game days. Brooke pointed out that safety and tackle are two spots the Steelers will look to add depth. Is Jalen Ramsey going to be seen at safety following the injury news with DeShon Elliott? Brooke thought the Elandon Roberts cut was a surprise and she would be additionally surprised if he isn’t back on the roster in the next few weeks. Brooke said both sides are frustrated in the Joey Porter Jr. contract negotiations, but she isn’t sounding the alarm yet because we have seen contracts come down to the wire before. Brooke wasn’t surprised at all the Steelers kept 4 QBs and explained why Mike McCarthy didn’t want to give up on Will Howard just yet.
