Hour 3: What will the Steelers quarterback room look like next season? Should Mason Rudolph get a legitimate shot at the starting job? Where does that leave Kenny Pickett? Also, could tomorrow possibly be the final game for Cam Heyward? He would probably have to take a sizable pay cut (or would he?) to come back next season. Would all parties agree on that? What kind of void does that leave on the field and in the locker room? Would Heyward go elsewhere if the Steelers offer isn’t good enough?
Steelers insider Mark Kaboly from The Athletic joined the show. Mark talked about the weather factor tomorrow and how Mason Rudolph feels about that. Mark feels like everything favors the Steelers in this game. He thinks the talks to fire Mike Tomlin have died down for now, but they will be right back up if the Steelers lose tomorrow. Mark thinks the run game has been good, but to make no mistake about how well Rudolph is playing. He said the offense as a whole is rejuvenated with Rudolph at the helm. The guys asked Mark if Rudolph’s play muddies the waters for next season in the QB room. Mark doesn’t think Eddie Faulkner or Mike Sullivan will be back as the offensive coordinator.
