Pirates broadcaster Greg Brown joined the show. Greg said the Pirates drafting of Paul Skenes was one of the best days in the history of the organization, in his time. He doesn’t know if any single player has excited the organization and fanbase before ever playing a game than Skenes. Greg isn’t convinced how early on the Pirates knew they were going to take Skenes. Greg thinks Donny’s prediction of Skenes starting and winning the next Pirates playoff game is definitely realistic. He is excited to see what the scene is like for Skenes’ debut. Greg said he would be surprised if Skenes doesn’t do anything with the organization by the end of this season. Greg believes the Pirates can stay in the playoff hunt and can claw back in the NL Central. Greg said this season keeps reminding him of the 1997 season and why the Pirates, or whoever wins the division, can probably do it with 84 wins. Greg is also aware that depending on how these next few weeks go they could be parting with a few veterans at the deadline. Greg commented on Elias Diaz winning the All-Star Game MVP last night just a few years after the Pirates letting him go. Greg insisted the Pirates do have a new way of business and at some point, people will have to admit they are going about it the best way possible.

Aditi Kinkhabwala joins the guys to talk about a classic television show and a parenting dilemma she is facing, and to play Immaculate Gridiron! Donny Football Debrief. There's a Netflix football documentary out that has piqued people's interest, but Poni has some doubts.

Aditi Kinkhabwala from the NFL on CBS joined the show. Aditi remembered loving the Minkah Fitzpatrick trade when it happened. The three discussed their kids asking for autographs if they as parents work in sports. We also completed the Immaculate Gridiron for today with a perfect score. 

Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk joined the show. The guys asked Mike about the status of the contract for Joey Porter Jr. because his camp wants JPJ to have the fourth year guaranteed like a lot of 1st round picks get, since he was picked 32nd overall, which is almost always a 1st round pick. Mike said it’s not about the player involved, it’s just a matter of the union and the league. Mike commented on Saquon Barkley potentially sitting out games or the whole year while on the franchise tag, like Le’Veon Bell did years ago. Mike talked about the ways to win this year and how the running back position is becoming tougher and tougher to play. The guys asked Mike if Pat Fitzgerald could find a job in the NFL a year or two removed from being fired at Northwestern. Poni asked Mike about Michael Irvin and his status with NFL Network after an allegation around the Super Bowl. 

Hour 2: What athlete in sports would you pay the most money to see right now? Poni says the answer is obvious. Donny says there's an athlete who played close to here that he regrets never going to see. Mike Florio joins the show to talk about when Joey Porter Jr. will sign his contract, if a star running back is about to pull a Le'Veon Bell, if an NFL TV personality is about to be off the air for good, and more!

Hour 1: The NL won the All-Star Game and a former Pirate got the MVP. Who are the best Pittsburgh athletes to leave the city and then make it big? Can Poni throw a knuckleball? NHL writer Sean Gentile joins the show to go over if the Penguins are any closer to an Erik Karlsson trade.

NHL insider Sean Gentille from The Athletic joined the show. Sean guessed that Erik Karlsson will be on the Penguins roster by opening night. He wanted to reiterate that it was only a guess because that’s where we are at this point. Sean speculated where the Sharks could be at right now viewing the potential offers for Karlsson. Sean said Karlsson would make the Pens “significantly” better and help the other older stars carry the load. Sean added that Sidney Crosby is still this team’s best player even if Karlsson is acquired, but he can be a tremendous asset if Crosby would miss time.
