Prospect of the Day – Deonte Banks visited the Steelers today. Does the position and Maryland connection make him a real possibility at 17th overall? The guys pointed out that his pro day was not heavily scouted by the Steelers, so could he be off their board in the 1st round?

Ryan said Carter is the number one overall player going into the draft, but we’ll see if his pre-draft mishaps will result in a slide. The guys asked Ryan about Deonte Banks, who visited the Steelers today and could be a 1st round target. Ryan said nobody in the cornerback class this year will be a Sauce Gardner type of player. Ryan thinks Joey Porter Jr. in the middle of the 1st round is the “sweet spot,” which could mean he’s there for the Steelers consideration. The Steelers playoff odds don’t have them as a much better team than last year. Or is it about other teams making bigger splashes, like the Jets? Chris thinks it’s more about the strength of each team’s QB in a loaded AFC. Are the Steelers going to be good enough to snag a playoff berth?

And if they do, will it bring back fans to the ballpark? The guys discussed teams like the Padres and Guardians, who have paid their stars recently and have gotten their fans back to the stadium.
