Steve Palazzolo from Pro Football Focus joined the show. Steve broke down the Steelers moves in free agency so far. Steve described the moves as solid and he highlighted the two acquisitions at linebacker along with the cutting of Myles Jack. Steve commented on the Larry Ogunjobi return and said it’s a decent deal because the defensive tackle market has gone way up this off-season. Steve said it does appear that the front office has an eye on modern times with some of the moves they’ve made. Steve said the decision to not go after Tremaine Edmunds for a high price was a good move. The guys asked Steve how big of an addition Orlando Brown is for the Bengals. Steve said he would rather have Cam Sutton over Patrick Peterson right now. Steve thinks cornerback and offensive tackle are still the Steelers two biggest needs. 

Robert Morris men’s basketball coach Andy Toole joined the show until 4. Andy highlighted Pitt’s guard play and experience as to why the Panthers could win a few games in the NCAA Tournament. 

The guys asked Andy about some of his memories of the NCAA Tournament with Robert Morris and that classic NIT game against Kentucky. The guys also asked Andy how he would handle a situation like what Brandon Miller is doing at Alabama. Andy said Purdue is his pick to win it all and shed some love for Zach Edey. 

The guys had fun against the NET rankings and Ken Pom after Utah State, another Mountain West school, was bounced from the dance. Andy commented on what makes for a great college basketball gameday atmosphere. Andy also talked about how the back and forth should be between coaches and media when there are rumors one may be leaving a particular school. 

The Steelers made a few moves before we got on the air, including the signing of another linebacker and cutting one free. The team signed Elandon Roberts who had over 100 tackles last year with the Dolphins. In a transition move, the team cut Myles Jack. The guys are in favor of the move because it feels like Omar Khan is doing things a little bit differently, for the better. 

Patrick Peterson has had his introductory press conference and says Kenny Pickett has some “pizazz” to him. Peterson is still confident he can have a big impact on any defense even at 32 years old. The guys determined which WR1 you feel comfortable with Peterson facing based on the Steelers opponents next season. Nate Herbig, another Steelers addition, had high praise for Andy Weidl and the guys really got the feel that Weidl is having a lot of input in the off-season. The guys love the new big man after he said David DeCastro was a big influence.

The Pitt Panthers are still dancing, baby! Pitt beat Mississippi State, 60-59 last night in the First Four. How big of a win is it for the program, that was picked to finish last in the ACC? She thinks it is crazy that nobody is willing to go after Jackson because of what he has already proven in the league compared to the difficulties a rookie QB can have. Aditi commented on the Steelers free agent moves and got a text from a current member of the Commanders’ staff shedding positive light on Cole Holcomb. She got into the differences between Kevin Colbert and Omar Khan and how each one approaches the off-season.
