The Pod-Cast episodes

  • 18: Animerica
Warning: Devious techno-spirits possessed our various electronics this week, corrupting our files (and maybe our souls, uh-oooohhhhhh) to mess with our heads and try to force us into worshiping them as demi-gods. It didn't work, of course, as we are strong-willed dudes. However, the overall quality of the audio suffered, so we do apologize. In this very special 15th of July episode we celebrate Independence Day the only way we know how: recording an audio drama on the spot. Other things occurred as well, such as secret projects never happening, theorizing on the art of sadness, anime/murder, and Comic-Con. It's a barrel full of patriotic fun! Show Notes: Our theme music is Earl of July by coda. All other music is from Incompetech and FreePD. Sound effects are from Freesound. Life, joy, and your very soul are from the techno-spirits who reign in-- NO, NO, BE STRONG

  • 17: The Letter
Have you ever received a mysterious letter in the mail addressed to you with a return address pointing towards one Zachary Walton from Kentucky? Bryan has, quite recently, and he reads on air and with trembling hands this missive from another world. If that's not enough to entice you into listening, then you're a lost cause, pal. But hey, we're throwing in some bonuses just because we like the cut of your jib! Namely, MMO comparisons with Billy, dramatic poem readings with Stephen, and good times for all. Now that's a deal you can't pass up without eternal regret, eh?

  • 16: The Bounty Buddies Finale
It happens every now and then. Stephen, Bryan, and Cameron get real philosophical about video games and broadcast it to the world. What's the point of owning a console? Are there too many choices for one person to choose? How does one find time to keep up with such a colossal industry during his busy, changing life-- or should one? In other news, Stephen is seriously considering taking in Cameron for adoption. In other other news, Storytime finishes up the Wild Western bounty hunting arc with a plot twist that you probably didn't see coming because I mean nobody really plans these things out ahead of time. Show Notes: Our theme music is Earl of July by coda. All other music is from Incompetech. Sound effects are from Freesound. That vague sense of unease is from the horribly important thing you forgot to do yesterday.

  • 15: Mal'Ganis Means Quizness
Everybody was busy this week! Everybody, that is, except Stephen and Bryan. So they take full advantage of this opportunity to talk about Hearthstone, introduce a new segment (hint: it involves The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and a personality test), and round things out by utterly ruining storytime. Treat yourself to the best comedic duo of siblings around with this week's episode of the Whales are Whales Pod-cast! By the end, you'll be wishing it was this way every week! :D Show Notes: Our theme music is Earl of July by coda. Music and sound is included from Crush 40 and Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. All other music is from Incompetech and FreePD.com. Sound effects are from Freesound or Bryan's vocal chords.

  • 14: A Brief History of Jeffery Punch
Bryan has disappeared like so many mini-pizzas in a roomful of ravenous gerbils, so it's up to the remaining Pod-Cast crew to keep his legacy of class and good humor alive. They fail. A curtain of madness descends, enveloping our fair world in Destinies, Splatoons, and lots of silly jokes. And then, suddenly and without warning, a new segment appears: Marvel-ous Memory or DC-tful Deception, a Quiz Show in Which We Discover Whether or Not Stephen and Billy are Actually Experts Concerning Comic Books: The Quiz Show. It's a regular wild west showdown, hey, speaking of which, Storytime drops us back into the boots of everyone's favorite bounty hunter as he lands himself in quite a pickle indeed. Tune in, folks!

  • 13: The Theme is That There is No Theme
Have you ever had a long, uninterrupted string of incoherent dreams that made no sense at the time and, upon later reflection, made even less sense? The similarities to that situation and this episode of the Whales are Whales Pod-Cast are striking. You've got posh chairs, Cameron's Destiny, a Box o' Fun, religious/humanistic thoughts from Descartes, Food Time, and a tale about this one bounty hunter who almost winds up in a horror story. It will no doubt be one of the greatest podcast episodes you've ever heard, and if not, at least everyone else had a nice time! Show Notes: Our theme music is Earl of July by coda. All other music is from Incompetech. Sound effects are from Freesound or Stephen's vocal chords.
