The 2018 Times Higher Education Asia Universities Summit took place in Shenzhen, China, from 5-7 February, and was hosted in partnership with SUSTech (Southern University of Science and Technology).

Head of content and engagement for the World Summit Series Tim Sowula is joined by editorial director for global rankings Phil Baty and reporter Rachael Pells to summarise the discussions in Shenzhen which focused on advancements in artificial intelligence, Asia's competitive edge in global higher education and knoweldge transfer in emerging economies.
