This week Harry takes on a private school in the burbs. Part two of the bigfoot trilogy finds Bigfoot Irwin in the infirmary, and Harry has to suss out what ails him. Its a fun contained story with a stupid reason (and dude) putting the whole thing in motion.

Then we finish with the absolutely delightful Good People which sees Molly and Kringle in a race. A wonderful reminder about what the Holidays are about.

Then me and Lyss talk christmas movies and its not a short convo.

This week brings the middle third of The Law where we meet the evil lawyer and the helpful murderer! Harry fails to threaten off Winter Winter, esquire, fails to bully Marcone, but succeeds in charming Triple J, Pontiac State Prisons most decorated hitman. We get a fun moment with Paranoid Gary, meet our spooky lawyer, and get another great Baron/Wizard tete-a-tete.

We dive into some holiday short stories this week, and both are very sweet.

First, we head back in time to the good old days to celebrate Valentine's Day, Blampires and our boy Tomas. Its a fun little Dresden adventure and a building burns down!

Second, we spend a Christmas Eve with Harry assembling a bicycle for Maggie. He gets three supernatural visitors in perfect Christmas fashion, and boy is this one wonderful.

Sorry for the delay, it was a tough weekend. But come on in, I promise your shoes and leather goods will be safe!

We close out Battle Ground and clearly the dust hasn't settled yet because we both get a little misty eyed at points. Harry has to carry on withhout Murph, sharing grief at Mac's and Graceland; but the work and life wont stop. He gets a castle and a fiance on the same day, is booted from the White Council by his former friend, and realizes he might just be a baddy.

Quite a chapter I tell ya, and that doesnt include one of the more heartwarming reunions youre likely to read about.

Wherein Harry binds a gd TITAN to his will.

We only bit off three chapters this week, but there's still a whole lot of ooey gooey Dresden goodness to be getting along with. Marcone owns the week but chooses to forgo the spoils of war--at least of the powerful magical artifact variety. We have a good long talk about where the good Gentleman may end up.

The Baron has an infernal trick up his sleeve to help seal the deal with Ethniu, double-handedly holding her off while Harry completes the binding. From there it is a battle of wills between our plucky hero and the last titan, with a Maggie corpse shaped speed bump to navigate along the way. Our boy wins the day with an assist from Bob and the Spear of Destiny, not to mention some Molly-rific foresight!

From there it is a simple jaunt to the island with Justine and we're home free! Of course, Thomas's paramour has also been concealing a deeper threat, this one in the form of Nemesis!

There's much to do despite our lack of a final chapter. Come on down, just build yourself a gopher wood structure first, that wave is a doozy! Battle Ground 9 starts RIGHT NOW!

Things are somehow ramping up even further as Battle Ground reaches its frantic peak. There's a unicorn for every season, Ivy mows the lawn, One Eye leads the Hunt, and Ethniu mops the floor with all of em.

Butters owns the chunk, Sanya is cool as always, and the one hero the Titan hasnt knocked down busys out the biggest gun in his arsenal to set up an epic finale.

Dont mind the mud, just step on the corpses! Battle Ground chunk 8 starst RIGHT NOW!

Harry and Sanya command the troops of vanilla Chicagoans as the battle continues, unabated by the crushing loss of last week. Tactics are key to any battle but especially when at a numerical disadvantage, and we see a number of moves meant to even the odds for our plucky defenders.

Mab and Winter join the battle with cursed weapons, Greymalkin sends scouting info in a novel new way, Butters earns a dangerous favor, Listen is starborn!, and we learn of a Canadian comedy troupe. Its really a full week!

Lyssy bakes and eventually remembers what podcast she's on, Cordelia adorably squeaks in the background (hopefully not too much!), and we have fun with asbestos.
