Tinu is currently the Vice-President Student Issues for the Carleton University Student Association and a student at Carleton University studying Political Science and African Studies. We discuss the good and difficult parts about being a child of Nigerian immigrant parents, how her studies have taught her more about Africa, and the challenges of being a diaspora child with conflict arising in your home country. During her time as MP for Whitby, she was the Parliamentary Secretary for the Prime Minister of Canada and the Minister for International Development et la Francophonie. She is currently working on her PhD in Organizational Leadership and is the Senior Advisor for EDI Initiatives to the Dean of Health Sciences at Queen's University while also being an Adjunct Lecturer.
