  • The Polytickin’ Bonus Episode 1: Buttery & Fluffery
Welcome to the first Epic Pack Bonus Episode you nerds! The Pod Boys have been on a roll and want to keep this momentum going because of y'all's love and support. So here's to more stuff!
Before they get the ball rolling, they throw their 2 cents in on the debate that matters most: Start, bench, or trade between waffles, pancakes, and French toast. What say you, nerds?!
Sefa gives his props to everybody's favorite uncle Rock "The Dwayne" Johnson as he showed his genuine love of charity, starting with buying a home for UFC fighter Themba Gorimbo and making an historic 7-figure donation to the Writer's and Actor's strike that's going on in Hollywood.
The Washed Boys then speak on the recent story post by the Pasefika R&B legend Aaradhna, who addressed her struggles with abuse by her now ex-boyfriend. The bravery it takes to use her platform to bring light to her personal issues may have given these other women or victims the courage to do the same. Aaradhna forever you dweeb.
Please let us know what it is you want to see from us as we keep pushing out these episodes to y'all. It's because of you that we even have this platform to begin with so let us know if this is something you'd like more of.
Because The Epic Pack has a nice ring to it.
Thank you nerds we love you!

  • Episode 43: Inky Pinky Ponky

Welcome back to another episode of The Polytickin' Podcast! The Pod Boys are learning things and so can you.

Sefa got hit on where he volunteers at and it'll always be funny. Marcus thinks a dude hit on him but maybe he's just narcissistic.

Sefa then gives his flowers to Sinéad O'Connor, Tony Bennett, and Paul Reubens, who all recently passed away. Now they wanna learn more about these artists that they were too young to experience.

The Pod Boys then talk about their love for the movie Inky Pinky Ponky, streaming everywhere on YouTube on Coconet TV. It's always a win seeing our stories being told by other Pacific Islander creatives, especially one as niche as this.

The show takes a wild pivot towards sports as Marcus talks about life after softball, seeing as The Little World Series is going on. If the two pro softball leagues were to broadcast their games, they could rake in a lot of interest.

Have you ever been stood up?

    Enjoy the show nerds!

  • Episode 42: It's Poor Service!

Welcome back to another episode of The Polytickin' Podcast! The Pod Boys are falling all over the place.

The Pod Boys get into the Samoan Karen wild'n out in Samoa over her order that apparently took 30 minutes.

The rules and regulations where you're from don't necessarily translate in the Islands so that's something to think about when you start going off on people in Samoa.

Marcus reads the hilarious but thought-provoking tweet from the infamous Shane Omeka, where he brings up how young kids from the islands are brought to the mainland under the guise of a better life but end up doing a whole lot more.

Free these kids and let 'em live!

Sefa then schools Marcus on what it's like having siblings and they are now better housemates because of it.

If you bought an antique plate for $1 that was appraised for 12K, are you breaking off some bread to the one who sold it to you?

    Enjoy the show nerds!

  • Episode 41: Free Shumway

Welcome back to another episode of The Polytickin' Podcast! The Pod Boys have now become your mother's favorite podcast hosts so things are great.

Marcus learned the difference between gorgeous and beautiful but knows that they're both super outdated so go figure.

Sefa has a newfound respect for cooking as an art form because of The Bear, which is an awesome show, go and watch that now.

The Pod Boys wonder what they would do if their girls caught an STD that left them in a coma, and the only treatment that's available would confirm whether they cheated. Marcus is leaving her lying self there.

They then get into the indefinite suspension of the LBJ Chief Medical Officer Dr. Joseph Shumway, who is accused of defamatory remarks regarding the American Samoa government. The boys don't know what to believe.

Which would you rather take? The Stink Face or The Bronco Buster?

    Enjoy the show nerds!

  • Episode 40: Can You Get Us Into Dreamland?

Welcome back to another episode of The Polytickin' Podcast! The Pod Boys have made it to 40 episodes and there's no end in sight.

Marcus is standing his ground during Aloha Day so shout out to doing your part. He ain't selling out.

Sefa is now the cool guy because some kids asked if he can sign them up to get into some kind of store where you need to be at least 19 to enter. That sounds like a prison sentence waiting to happen.

The Pod Boys then unveil their favorite TV theme songs because the community had a lot to say. And I mean a lot.

They then give their flowers to Pacific Feats and hope to one day perform there and at other shows. For now, they're just gonna pull up.

What were your favorite TV show theme songs?

    Enjoy the show nerds!

  • Episode 39: You're Too Pretty To Rob

Welcome back to another episode of The Polytickin' Podcast! The Pod Boys had some technical difficulties but they're always in their bag so it's all good.

Marcus has finally gone outside and is happy to talk about the open mic he attended at Divine & Twined, hosted by Nina Sosefina and Nichola J. The ladies put on a great show so here's to them and many more.

Sefa had buyer's remorse after venturing too far outside of his culinary comfort zone. You wonder why we stick with what we know.

The Pod Boys then get into Taika Waititi coming down to American Samoa to promote his next film, Next Goal Wins. The boys think it's a great look for our people to have him come down and be where the movie takes place. Sefa isn't that mad at him anymore.

Marcus then reads the story of the man who robbed a woman, only for him to ask her for her Facebook so he can add her and get at her. People are insane.

What would be in your $20 Samoan food plate?

    Enjoy the show!

  • Episode 38: I'm Sorry Citizen, I Can't

Welcome back to another episode of The Polytickin' Podcast! The Pod Boys are out here and so can you.

Marcus got brand new curtains and a chair so who's really winning? Sefa is getting in good with everyone he volunteers with so the boys are doing big things.

You know who isn't doing big things? Resident uncultured swine, Eric McEntire. The Pod Boys go in on this man after his tweets disparaging the Pasifika culture within his religion. It's easier to talk down on other cultures when you have none.

Screw you Eric McEntire. You suck.

Sefa talks about the Titanic sub and how everyone was defending people making crude jokes about the whole situation. It's not your trauma to process.

The Washed Boys then clarify their stance from last week's episode on glorifying the streets in your art. There's a difference between glorifying the streets and talking about it.

Would you take shots that make you look buff even if it doesn't give you true strength?

    Enjoy the show nerds!

  • Episode 37: Don't Undermine Your Reach

Welcome back to another episode of The Polytickin' Podcast and Happy Belated Father's Day to all the fathers out there! The Pod Boys had stuff to say so they're gonna say stuff.

Marcus had to initialize his PS4 so all of his saved data is gone, and Sefa already broke his intermittent fasting. Great start to the week.

The Pod Boys get into the Muddy Roots' Podcast response to their whole debacle. It's easy to hide behind jokes until your platform gains a significant reach. Let's all be better about that.

They then pay their respects to the American Samoa rap scene and how much that truly means to up-and-coming artists. Once we set aside our ego and work together, things can happen.

Sefa then speaks on the influence hip-hop has had on his life and to not take your position for granted, regardless of your occupation. Being a role model is not something you can claim or deny because it is given to you based on your work.

Who is your favorite American Samoa rapper?

  • Episode 36: Muddy Waters

Welcome back to another episode of The Polytickin' Episode! The Pod Boys are at it and they're doing great.

Marcus reveals himself to be a hater of dudes who dye their hair black to recapture their lost youth. Sefa has taken up volunteering and he's already getting in good with the workers there. Get in how you fit in.

The Washed Boys then dive into the Muddy Roots podcast clip that had the community talking. Sefa speaks on awareness of your brand and who you're marketing to. Marcus understands that context matters but you cannot control how perceive your words, no matter your intentions. The boys agree, though, that more men should've spoken on it but it is what it is.

Ladies, don't come for the boys.

Who had the best top 5 last week?

  • Episode 35: Who In Yo Top 5 Though?! Pt. II

Welcome back to another episode of The Polytickin' Podcast! The Pod Boys are running a little late but they're getting to it so please bear with them.

Marcus finally finished Snowfall and he actually liked the ending, unlike everyone else. Sefa discovers how audacious Dog The Bounty Hunter really was because more than half of the stuff he was pulling was definitely illegal. He's not even a cop.

The Pod Boys then throw out another list, this time their Top 5 Pacific Islander athletes of all time. They don't have the same number one like Marcus thought they would but they'll settle for the same number three.

Sefa puts Marcus on game on the whole "battle for gifts" thing that happens on TikTok and he's disgusted by it. Now you can just beg people on TikTok Live to give you money. These new hustles are getting out of control.

What do you think would last longer? Marcus with a fish or Marcus with a dog?

    Enjoy the show!
