They discuss what representation means to them, and how seeing anyone of Pacific Islander descent in a movie or TV show gets them hyped up. But once Margaret Mead entered the picture, the boys couldn't help but want to fight her descendants. What does representation mean to you? Sefa thinks the charges won't stick and Marcus doesn't care for actors trying to be smart. They then touch on the whole "Shannon Sharpe vs. the Grizzlies" the other day and cannot believe people think that Shannon Sharpe has a chance against Steven Adams. He got that dawg in him. They then discuss the constant evolution of tradition in the context of church, and how best to reach the youth because the youth is the future and sometimes the old heads aren't a fan of that. Welcome back to another episode of The Polytickin' Podcast! The pod boys enjoyed their Christmas and Marcus finally got his seafood, so all is well. They discuss their lack of gift-giving ability and Sefa calls Marcus a Grinch because he's sucking the joy out of Christmas. He is now an Atheist. They get into their New Years resolutions and the boys always add "losing weight" to the list, but for some strange reason, it just never happens. So here's to another year of not losing weight. The episode takes a somber turn when they bring up sending an ailing loved one to a nursing home. When does the culture stop helping us and start hindering us?
