Sefa and Marcus aren't worried at all about the vultures coming out of the woodworks to get their grubby little hands onto Iam Tongi. The Pacific Islander community has icons of our own that can steer him into the right direction. Our culture pretty much made sure of that.

Welcome back to another episode of The Polytickin' Podcast! The Pod Boys are wild'n and they cannot stop this because they have a universe to create.

Marcus encourages all the ladies to splurge on their husband for Father's Day and their birthdays. Stop giving us Happy Father's Day mugs when you're over here asking for $7k Chanel purses. Sheesh!

The boys give their love and respect to the 2023 American Idol winner Iam Tongi for representing his heritage the right way on a national stage. He brought attention to the music icons in our community at a great risk of his own career and it is the coldest thing you can do for the culture so congrats!

The Pod Boys, however, are not giving any congrats to Steven Setu, a Samoan so-called "comedian" who posts things that are against the grain for the growth of...something, they don't know. It's hard to take him seriously when his lack of self-awareness has been evident since the start of his "career." Plus, he eats KFC alone in his car so forget him he sucks.

Sefa then brings up Sheff G talking pig latin in front of the cops to his homie thinking they wouldn't understand him. They definitely did and The Washed Boys cannot contain their laughter.

Welcome back to another episode of The Polytickin' Podcast and Happy Belated Mother's Day! The Pod Boys have things to get off their chest besides their cholesterol.

Marcus gets sad for a bit as he talks about what he did for Mother's Day. Sometimes you need a mental health break from the rigors of life.

Things get political when Sefa talks about the trashiness at the hip-hop blog news aggregator sites who push their political agendas through a culture they have no say in to the tune of $65 million in ad revenue. The boys are inclined to start gatekeeping these losers because once it affects their own culture, they're not going to like it at all. Screw 'em.

Marcus is still waiting on word about Bad Boy Mook's open verse challenge. He's ready.

The Washed Boys then go in on Ja Morant again, as he was shown flashing a gun in another IG Live. To his homie's credit, he tried to pan away as fast as he could but it was too late. Where's Ja?!

Welcome back to another episode of The Polytickin' Podcast and Happy Asian-American Pacific Islander Native Hawaiian Heritage Month! The Pod Boys' friendship is hanging in the balance but they're willing to sacrifice it for the success of this ridiculous show.

Marcus keeps falling asleep during the season 5 finale of Snowfall and Sefa isn't all that impressed by Succession yet. A show about a rich White family is always going to be weird.

Sefa then goes all the way in on Jeannie Mai and her supposed erasure of the other half of the acronym for the month. It riled a lot of people up and she's lucky the boys didn't record when they seen it because girl! But at the end of the day, it's much bigger than having a month to ourselves. It's about bringing up our Pacific Islander-owned businesses to the forefront but that starts with proper representation.

Marcus tries to talk about revoking driver's licenses once you reach a certain age until he is interrupted by his Uncle Norman showing massive love to The Pod Boys. This is only the beginning.

The Pod Boys then get into people who try to lecture them about their own culture after learning just a tidbit about it. It's annoying enough seeing it online but in real life? Even more so. Also, let's work on our tone and delivery because then you might get that discount you've been begging for or someone might actually be interested in your stupid history lesson.

Sefa talks about rap being a so-called "dangerous profession" when really it could just be the energy you put out in the music or in life. With the amount of rappers killed within the last couple of years, it's easy to point at rap itself as the problem. But what if we actually examined the music?

The boys reminisce on the amount of phone cards they bought in American Samoa. Sefa missed his family a lot.

They then shout out all the Pacific Islander boys who have been drafted into the NFL and wants everyone to stop calling it cliche when one makes it to the league. It's a chance to big up your people and show the younger generation a route to success.

They get into their appreciation for escalators because if there's anything that can prevent them from having to walk everywhere, it's always a win.

Sefa then talks about Austin St. John, better known as the original Red Ranger, who's facing legal trouble over the PPP scams that everybody else seems to be getting away with without repercussion. Why'd they have to get Tommy?!

The Pod Boys then get into the ousting of Kahiau Machado, who was cast as David for the live-action remake of Lilo and Stitch over a couple of playlist names on Spotify that were inappropriate to say the least. Cancel culture is a touchy thing.

Sefa fills Marcus in on the Ryan Garcia vs. Gervonta "Tank" Davis fight that happened over the weekend and how they promoted themselves into good positions for their respective careers. The power of great marketing can mean the difference between lower and higher profile fights so good on them.

They then get into their uncle/cousin/brother David Tua and his induction into the Hall of Fame. That is a cold man.

The boys talk about the German man who set the Guinness World Record for drinking a Capri Sun in 10 seconds. They think it's light work but don't wanna brag about how good they are at sucking juice through a straw. Their family watches this.

The Pod Boys then get into the famous Vietnamese YouTuber who underwent height lengthening surgery to grow from 5'4...to 5'7. Now to be fair, he's probably Shaq in his country now but the boys know that 5'7 isn't really much where they're from. So good on that guy.

Marcus then reads a tweet criticizing the recent casting of Sydney Agudong as Nani in the upcoming Lilo & Stitch live-action movie. The community had plenty of things to say, from the whitewashing of roles in Hollywood to the lack of representation of our darker-skinned brethren in the Pacific. Either way, Marcus is probably gonna watch it.

Sefa then speaks on Achraf Hakimi, one of the highest paid players in Ligue 1, whose ex-wife filed for divorce while wanting more than half of the Moroccan player's property and fortune. The problem is that she has no right to it because Hakimi put everything in his mama's name like he was in The Big Tymers. Gator boots with the pimped out Gucci suits.

The Pod Boys enjoyed their Easter but cannot figure out the connection between the Easter Bunny and Jesus Christ rising from his tomb to be up there with his Father. They're still confused. Marcus got himself a parking citation because he forgot about the street sweeper on Tuesdays. He could've saved that $45.

The boys get into AI rap music and Sefa points out how much harder we'd have to work to figure out the truth in an age of misinformation. These AI voice things are getting out of hand.

Sefa sent Marcus a tweet about one Owen Diaz, a former Tesla employee who sued his former company for racial discrimination and was awarded $130 million. The judge then reduced it to $15 million and it all went downhill for Mr. Diaz.

The Pod Boys then talk about the live-action Moana movie that's currently in development, spearheaded by their uncle/cousin/brother Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Ever heard of him?

They then discuss Israel Adesanya's win over Alex Pereira and their shared history. You couldn't write a better story.

Corporal punishment is not the wave...or is it? Later they discuss one of the more recent tweets to go viral within the community, wondering what opinion on Pacific Islanders would have the mob at their throats. Marcus gets passionate about financial literacy and Sefa wants to do away with the "we're different" mentality when really, we are one and the same. Plus, colonizers came up with those names and who the hell invited them? They suck. Marcus then asks one question: Honesty, respect, communication, intimacy. One's gotta go. Which one?
