March 08, 2025 BREAKING: Miami Lands ELITE Recruit
The Miami Hurricanes adds elite cornerback Jaelen Waters to their 2026 recruiting class. The former Florida Gators commitment improves the Hurricanes’ biggest issue of slowing down opposing passing attacks. With Waters’ length, speed, agility, and aggressive style of play, look for him to compete for early playing time in Coral Gables.
With Waters in Miami’s fold, he becomes the fifth commitment for the class, joining Ben offensive lineman Congdown, quarterback Dereon Coleman, linebacker Jordan Campbell, and cornerback Camdin Portis.

March 07, 2025 Florida Gators Gain BIG-TIME Commitment | PREDICTION: Best Bets For High NFL Draft Picks
The Florida Gators added Izayia Williams to their 2026 recruiting class, giving them three commitments. Quarterback Will Griffin and defensive back Devin Jackson are also pledged to Billy Napier. Williams has a plethora of upside and it’s discussed on today’s The Portal Podcast.
Additionally from the class of 2026, my three most likely high NFL Draft picks and why. These three recruits all compete at a high level and have the right attitude on and off the gridiron.

March 06, 2025 Jackson Cantwell Sets OT RECRUITING STANDARD | OT Recruiting Rankings
Jackson Cantwell sets the offensive recruiting standard because of his effort, technique, and natural physical gifts. That’s also why he’s a must-get recruit for Missouri, Georgia, Alabama, and SEC programs that need offensive tackle help.
Missouri is the home-state school for Cantwell, and Georgia, Alabama, and other programs around the nation want Cantwell, too. Will an SEC program land Cantwell, a player Rivals.com ranks as the #1 recruit in the country? Locked On The Portal Podcast breaks down Cantwell’s recruitment, his game, and why he is the nation’s top offensive tackle and possibly best overall recruit.

March 04, 2025 DT RECRUITS TO KNOW: Jamar Thompson, Watch Out! | Under Armour Standouts
There are not enough elite defensive tackle recruits like Jamar Thompson from West Boca Raton High School. The requisite size, natural strength, and athleticism needed usually take multiple years of college training. That’s why Thompson is a sure-fire big-time recruit as he’s advanced for his age.
He was a standout during the Under Armour Miami Camp, and I dive into more details about why Jamar Thompson will be a national recruit. Do not sleep on Cameron McHaney from IMG Academy either. That’s a player who wants to compete against the best, earned a starting spot with IMG, and is as strong as a bull.
Throughout Florida, it’s a good year for defensive tackle recruiting with (no particular order) Brian Harris, James Johnson, James Guervil, Elijah Golden, Preston Carey, and more prospects to discuss here on The Portal!

March 03, 2025 RECRUITING SCOOP: Calvin Russell, Jordan Campbell, Javian Mallory & More!
Miami Under Armour was tremendous with elite prospects from quarterback to defensive back. Starting off with the passers, Dereon Coleman (Miami commitment), Dia Bell (Texas commitment), Will Griffin (Florida commitment), and 2027’s Trae Taylor all looked great and showed why they are some of the highest-ranked quarterbacks in the country.
This first episode of The Portal Podcast breaks down why each of these quarterbacks threw the football well, and why they can help their future college teams recruit. In particular, notes on Dereon Coleman’s comments about Miami’s recruitment of wide receivers. More points below:
*IMG’s Jake Kreul came to compete and won every rep. He’s incredible. Maybe the best camp performer I’ve ever seen. I go into why he wins so many reps with ease.
*Why wide receiver Calvin Russell’s recruitment will be a GAUNTLET for any college program attempting to sign him!
*Larry Miles is legit and I explain why his recruiting stock is too LOW!
*If you have not heard about defensive backs Brody Jennings or Devonte Anderson, you will right here. Both showed the moxie to make plays on the football against a tremendous group of wide receivers.
*Flanigan high school’s Santana Carlos is as twitchy as it gets. Make sure you check out the YouTube short I have of his jaw-dropping move!
*Denairius Gray is big-time. Why don’t more people discuss him? The Auburn commitment deserves more hype.
*Speaking of receivers, Brysen Wright is the next ELITE receiver to come out of Florida and he’s only going to be a sophomore next season!
*Jamar Thompson was awesome in the 2024 Florida state playoffs and again today during Under Armour Miami. For a player 290-plus pounds, he uses his hands and feet to win battles as much as brute strength.
