In this episode we reflect on our previous episodes on people living with a disability, seeing people as whole people and dismantling the idea of "special needs". In light of sexual abuse, cover ups and gaslighting and not believing victims we affirm our position as an organization where we stand and how we seek to approach this conversation. We then round this episode out resisting the homophobia and dehumanizing LGBTQ perpetuations happening this month and better paths forward to humanize this conversation and care about ALL people on this mental health journey and just complex journey called life.

In todays episode we have a conversation with Shelby Crews, founder of Tread And Trample, a mental health non-profit based in Jacksonville, Fl. We dive into a lot of stigmas surrounding the conversation of mental health, both inside and outside the church, and seeking help for our mental well being. We talk about ways to break down those stigmas with those that we come across and those we care about around us. We then round it off with ways to cultivate a culture of permission: permission to not be ok mentally and seek outside interventions and measures to walk towards mental healing.
