The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast

THE POWER OF GOD'S WHISPER

VERSE: Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I had a dream last night, and no one here can tell me what it means. But I have heard that when you hear about a dream you can interpret it.” “It is beyond my power to do this,” Joseph replied. “But God can tell you what it means and set you at ease.” GENESIS 41:15-16

✔️ - God put Joseph in a unique position to bless Egypt’s people and prepare the way for Israel’s people to be blessed too.

✔️ - But God cared deeply for both nations, so He raised His faithful servant into a place of influence.

✔️ - How did Joseph rise to prominence?

✔️ - He knew how to interpret and speak the language of God.

TAKEAWAY:  This is how He blesses the world and draws people to Himself. And He will do so with us if we will begin to listen for His answers.

PRAYER:  Lord, You have a solution for every problem in the world today and every problem I face. If You will share Your ideas with me, I will commit to ask for them and act on them so I can be a blessing to the world and Your Kingdom.

THE POWER OF GOD'S WHISPER

VERSE: The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.” REVELATION 4:1

✔️ - “He’s so heavenly minded he’s no earthly good.”

✔️ - We best serve “down here” by going “up there” to fill ourselves with revelation from God.

✔️ - John was given a startling invitation by a loud voice from heaven: “Come up here, and I will show you.

✔️ - There he received visions that still inspire and amaze us today.

TAKEAWAY:  Like John, we may not know how to interpret them at first, but we are somehow changed simply by the experience. And we become heavenly-minded enough to offer exactly what earth needs.

PRAYER:  Lord, I would love to come up there, but I can’t unless You take me. Fill me with Your Spirit, take the blinders off my eyes, show me the realities of heaven. Let Your Kingdom come on earth, in my life, as it is in heaven.

VERSE: [The Lord said,] “Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.” JEREMIAH 33:3

✔️ - “I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know.

✔️ - His secrets are meant to make waves in our world.

✔️ - “About things to come.” We long for glimpses into the future.

✔️ - When we ask and draw close, He whispers the future to us.

TAKEAWAY:  God is excited about the future. He isn’t dreading it. In Jeremiah’s case, the future held correction for God’s people, but it was also filled with hope. Ours is too. God longs to share His secrets with us  —if we ask.

PRAYER:  Lord, I’m asking. Whisper Your secrets to me. Prepare me for what You have planned. Draw me close to Your heart and let me hear the deep longings within it.

THE POWER OF GOD'S WHISPER

VERSE: [Jesus said,] “Pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.” LUKE 8:18

✔️ - Many Christians are frustrated with how difficult it is for them to hear God’s voice.

✔️ - If we don’t, we’ll end up confused and directionless, wandering in the aftermath of having neglected God’s previous instructions.

✔️ - That may seem harsh, but when we realize how much revelation it will open up before us, it’s liberating.

✔️ - He wants us to be fully engaged in His Word before we ask Him for specific words for today.

TAKEAWAY:  Make sure you are pursuing the instructions in His Word to the best of your knowledge and ability while you seek direction for specific situations. If you listen to His teaching, He will give you more understanding. That’s a promise.

PRAYER:  Jesus, You know how much I want more understanding. If I have neglected Your teaching in any way, I turn back toward You and ask You to restore my spirit to a position of understanding and growth. Open my heart to hear  —and follow  —everything You say.

THE POWER OF GOD'S WHISPER

VERSE: The LORD answered Job from the whirlwind. JOB 38:1

✔️ - “Job knew only destruction from the whirlwind.

✔️ - He had to experience Me in the depths.

✔️ - “This is often where you will hear Me clearest.

✔️ - Only those who meet Me in the depths can know Me deeply. But you can’t meet Me there unless something took you there.

TAKEAWAY:  You have been called to deeper knowledge. You may not like that, but you will benefit from it. You will encounter Me in the winds that shake your life.”

PRAYER:  Lord, the process of knowing You can be so painful. I know it’s worth it, but part of me wishes I could remain on the surface of life. So make the most of my pain. Don’t waste any of it. Use it to unveil deep mysteries about You that I never would have known.

THE POWER OF GOD'S WHISPER

VERSE: My heart is filled with bitter sorrow and unending grief for my people, my Jewish brothers and sisters. I would be willing to be forever cursed  —cut off from Christ!  —if that would save them. ROMANS 9:2-3

✔️ - The student lived in a culture that was hostile to the truth of God, yet she burned with passion for her people.

✔️ - God keeps telling me, ‘They are yours, and one day they will accept Me.’”

✔️ - That’s essentially the same message God gave Paul about his Jewish brothers and sisters.

✔️ - No words are necessary for such love. The message smolders deep within the spirit.

TAKEAWAY:  Like Jeremiah and the fire in his bones, people with God’s passions are driven by a powerful but inaudible voice that can’t be ignored. They have heard a heartbeat that words can never describe.

PRAYER:  Lord, give me Your passions. Fill me with Your desires. Let me overflow with Your most intense, relentless dreams for Your people. Drive me with Your heartbeat.

THE POWER OF GOD'S WHISPER

VERSE: In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. ROMANS 12:6

✔️ - It is astonishing that so many church traditions rule out the prophetic gift as an appropriate practice for today when the New Testament is so open about it.

✔️ - And he couples them, especially prophecy, with faith.

✔️ - Hearing God’s voice and speaking it to others always goes hand in hand with faith.

✔️ - Yet the Spirit urges us to speak and hear anyway, exercising faith that God’s voice will be understood in the process.

TAKEAWAY:  God gives us faith, words, and discernment. We can trust the Holy Spirit who is moving among us.

PRAYER:  Holy Spirit, give me faith to speak the words You give me  —humbly, yet earnestly. And give all of us among the fellowship of believers discernment to recognize Your words. Prophesy through Your people.

TITLE: GOD'S SECRETS

EPISODE: 22-263

VERSE: The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law. DEUTERONOMY 29:29, NIV

✔️ - God has His secrets.

✔️ - He satisfies us with more and more truth.

✔️ - Yet secrets remain. God is infinite, after all, and no human being knows Him fully.

✔️ - That means God hadn’t finished unveiling His secrets. He was still in the process.

TAKEAWAY:  There will always and forever be more. And He will always be inviting us into it.

PRAYER:  Lord, let the “always more” shape my heart and drive me toward You daily. Show me something new every day. Take me from glory to glory in the pursuit of hearing and knowing You.

THE POWER OF GOD'S WHISPER

TITLE: FRIEND OF GOD

EPISODE: 22-262

VERSE: It happened just as the Scriptures say: “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” He was even called the friend of God. JAMES 2:23

✔️ - The Old Testament twice refers to Abraham as God’s friend  —2 Chronicles 20:7 and Isaiah 41:8  —and it’s an unusual designation.

✔️ - We can enter into that friendship by doing what Abraham did.

✔️ - What did Abraham do?

✔️ - Believers who believe so thoroughly that they do something about what they believe. That’s what cultivates friendship with God.

TAKEAWAY:  There will be times when you know what He is saying without knowing how you know. Friends not only share thoughts, they influence each other’s hearts.

PRAYER:  Lord, I want to be Your friend. I want to know Your heart so well that Your words are often unnecessary. Let my faith and my actions draw me closer to You.
