  • Be Your Brand

If you are looking for a way to differentiate from the pack, be a better person. Be the guy who does things the right way. Coaches and recruiters are looking for something that takes you to the next level. Something that will be a benefit for their team and culture.

Someone will recruit you if you can stand out on and off the field. With thousands of players trying to earn roles and spots, how are you going to be different? What makes you different than the guy next to you?

    Better start to develop something.

Go get what you deserve, it's right in front of you.

  • Intent/Be an Idiot

See if you can concentrate. See if you can work and operate without the headphones. Without the phone. Can you find the motivation without the music? On game day it may not be there. You don't have to do it always but make sure you can prepare and execute without it. Depend on yourself. Try no headphones for a week in the gym. See how it feels.

If you are not asking the stupid questions, someone else is and they are learning and moving ahead. Do not be afraid to be looked at as a fool. The fool just might be the smartest man in the room. Ask questions, stay humble. There is always more to learn.

  • Extension/Change

The baseball is an extension of you, just as your speech, your actions, and how you go about your daily routines are an extension of you. We can use intention in both areas to get the results we want. When we throw the ball, the intention behind it plays a role. Mechanics also play a role, but having the two synced up is a game changer. Wherever our intention flows, our outcome usually follows.

Stress is not always bad, we must use it to change in the way we want. We can use it to shape our bodies, our minds our lives. In order to change we must change the process of the things we do. This affects all routines and things we go about daily. Changing one small thing will bring benefit, but changing your process will change  more than you believe.

What a day. Do something you hate, do something you love.

  • Parents Fault/Audio Books/Synchronization

It is not the parent's fault for trying to give their child the best shot. The industry that is travel baseball has created a landscape that is tough to navigate for parents, especially those who didn't play baseball or play a sport. We must give guidance and real information to help them make the best decision for their child.

Are audiobooks a form of reading? I don't think so. If you disagree email [email protected] and tell us why. The point of reading to me is the knowledge and information but also the space and environment reading creates. Slow, present moment involvement.

Lastly, we must sync our body and mind. We must sync our Upperhalf and Lowerhalf (baseball terms), and we must sync our visions/dreams and actions. If you listen to the podcast it will make sense.

The best week is about to be experienced. Chase it down.

  • Start Before/If I Was/Simplicity?

Wishing we had done something is useless. We can't go back and start. The next best thing is starting today. Start now. In 10 years you look back and have different thoughts. We cannot go back into the past and change it, but we can change and learn from it.

If I was... If I had this... If it went like this... but it didn't, you don't have those things and you aren't. Let's look at the facts. Let's look at what you have in front of you and what you have to perform with. Chances are you can make it work.

When is too much simplicity a bad thing? When it affects performance. Do what is essential, although if it is taking away from executing, add more complexity. Simple right?

  • Statistics/ Looking Ahead/Accepting Failure

I start today's episode by reminding you that we are not done with 2023. Lots more of this year is left, and the year can turn around in any single day. Continue on.

I talk about statistics and how numbers sometimes can't measure everything, in baseball and life the numbers can lie at times. Life is more than numbers, and some feelings we need to trust and allow to unwind in our favor.

I remind myself to stop looking ahead to all that I want to accomplish and do. We must try our best to stay locked in on the day to day and understand each phase and chapter of life brings it's own benefits. We just have to find them.

Lastly, I ask a question to the viewers, is accepting failure okay? Why or why not?

Email us @[email protected] and tell me your answer.

  • Backyard/Constellations

In today's crazy episode, I do my best to throw you for a loop. This may be my hardest episode to decipher. My thoughts did not come out as clearly as they were in my head. I hope you can take little tidbits of today's conversation with myself.

I talk about how pitching in the backyard or doing anything in a vacuum is the same task as when the lights are on, except it's entirely different. See confusing, I told you.

I also speak about connecting the dots, and how often we try to forcefully connect things together and in the end, the only way for the dots to align is to trust and have faith in your processes. This allows the dots to connect themselves and show you the path, even if it wasn't the one you thought you'd be on.

  • Travel Ball/Light Pollution

In this episode, I touch on the fluff and marketing that surrounds travel baseball. The landscape of the industry is becoming selling false guarantees. It is becoming selling to parents who don't know the wool is being pulled over their eyes. I am not against travel baseball, I just want to make it clear to parents that it's not the only option.

I speak on light pollution and how many times we cannot see the beauty or magic in things because of the craziness and abundance of noise that surrounds us or the environment we are in.

  • Reverse Engineering/Cold Showers

In today's episode, I discuss the ability to take good qualities and characteristics from other players and people in order to add them to your life. However, even though we are using others for help, we cannot become them. What worked for them will not be our story. We must stay ourselves and use the resources provided to change.

I  also dive into cold showers and what they can do for us from a mental and physical standpoint. We can bring focus and clarity into our lives by adding a small cold shower daily.

Your time is coming, stay on course.

  • One Step Further/ Only You Can See/Resources

Today's episode features my thoughts on pushing a step further into the unknown. You may be one step away from greatness, you'll never know unless you continue on to see it for yourself.

I touch on having a road map or a guide only we can read. It is blind to outside noise and other people with less vision.

My last topic of the day is using the resources we have today to grow further. We can use all types of techniques and tools, mixing old school with new school and understanding both have pros and cons.

    Another week closer.
