KATE EBERLE WALKER is the CEO of PresenceLearning, the leading provider of online special education services for K-12 schools. In this role, she leads a majority female employee population whose mission is not only to serve students with learning needs, but to provide a flexible career path for more than 1,500 special education clinicians, many of whom are working mothers. Kate took on her first CEO role at age 39, at The Princeton Review. She offers straight, tell-it-like-it-is advice to her fellow managers and is an approachable and relatable mentor to younger women, whom she regularly supports and advises on career decisions. She is the author of the new book The Good Boss: Nine Ways Every Manager Can Support Women at Work that outlines 9 simple rules for managers to follow to provide a better work environment for women. She will be sharing some of those rules today, along with some insights from her 20+ years in the education industry.
