  • John Mark Comer: Reaching America's most secular city

The pastor who has been dubbed ‘the orthodox Rob Bell’ tells Sam Hailes how he’s reaching millennials in Portland - one of America's most secular cities. The 37 year old describes himself as an “introverted, melancholy, bookish reader/writer/teacher” but when it comes to theology he defies categories, admitting his church is “an interesting enigma”. The pastor holds traditional beliefs on the authority of scripture. But he’s critical of fellow conservatives who appear reluctant to dialogue with those who hold different views. In this in depth interview he explains why believes the Pope is "a rockstar", technology can harm your prayer life and why he's written a book on "the most quoted verse in the Bible, by the Bible."

  • Glen Scrivener: Making viral videos to spread the gospel

Glen Scrivener has a track record of producing videos which go viral online. In this in depth interview, he discusses past projects and reveals his upcoming #MeetTheNativity series which is designed to communicate the true message of Christmas this December. Glen, who is often described as an 'evangelist', says he has mixed feelings about the term. He also tells the heartwarming story of how despite being deported back to his native Australia (and praying a very "cheeky" prayer), he managed to woo his now wife Emma. He also discusses why "the call" to ministry isn't as dramatic as some assume and recalls learning from John Stott while training at All Soul's Langham Place. In addressing an increasingly secular society, Glen argues the problem is not confined to "the nasty world out there" but an unfruitful Church.

Chick is a popular speaker at various Christian events including Spring Harvest and the author of recently released novel Rooks at Dusk.
