The Promised Land | A Manchester United Podcast

Man Utd drew at Bournemouth on Friday night to hold on to third place ahead of a LONG break until their next Premier League match....but the headlines were stolen by a poor refereeing decision which quite possibly impacted the outcome of the game.

Scott Saunders talks through his thoughts on the 2-2 draw and the lack of consistency in decision making which saw United NOT get a penalty and Harry Maguire get sent off for what was.... a very similar obstruction.

Scott vents on the officiating and looks at the state of refereeing in particular, and what the draw means for United in the grand scheme of things.

The reports are rolling - Man Utd are interested in Newcastle's Sandro Tonali.

Scott Saunders addresses the latest news around Man Utd's hunt for a new midfielder - and explains why he feels as though this deal may, as difficult as it will be to pull off, the most likely one to happen for the summer coming up as it stands.

Elliot Anderson's name is discussed, as well as an idea on why we're hearing United only want 2 midfielders instead of 3... and why this may be a smart thing to put out there.

Casemiro is going to leave Manchester United - it's already decided.

But is letting him go without at least an extension offer the wisest decision for Man Utd in a summer where their midfield needs a revamp?

Scott Saunders explains why while it may not even happen, United should at least table a conditional, less expensive offer to keep the Brazilian around the squad beyond the rest of this season. If he rejects, at least you tried. If he accepts the terms, it'll save money and keep a wealth of experience.
