The Promised Land | A Manchester United Podcast

Scott Saunders reacts to Ruben Amorim's latest comments and considers where United turn and how they'll behave if they don't win the Europa League next week. Would it be a potential blessing in disguise for Amorim, or pure disaster all round?

Also considered: shouldn't United just hire Sean Dyche instead after his latest comments on wanting the job? (this is sarcasm but still addressed).

Scott Saunders is back with a new TPL talking all about Man Utd's pursuit of Liam Delap. United have emerged as front runners and while he's available at a bargain price, there are big concerns over whether he is the right fit. Though preferring a more experienced option, Scott tries to get into the mind of United and discusses why they're making this choice.

Also, there's more talk on Ruben Amorim... and his 491 interviews since becoming Man Utd's head coach.

There's interest in signing Bruno Fernandes from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, and Bruno Fernandes' representatives have held initial talks over a transfer which theoretically could be Manchester United's biggest sale in history.

But we all know United are terrible, and Bruno is not only the team's best player, but the most popular one with fans and the club captain. Selling Bruno could spell potential disaster. But in this episode of TPL, Scott Saunders talks about what the key factors are with this latest development and runs through why it's not just as simple for United as just saying NO.

It's important to acknowledge and understand too that one of the standout performers on the day, Alejandro Garnacho - who is still only 20 - is judged through a harsh and unfair lens. Explained in the summer is the approach United need to take in the market to make sure they turn things around.
