The "Prophet" who's rarely wrong predicts Presidential race
American University Professor Alan Lichtman has made a near-flawless science of correctly predicting presidential elections since 1984 - having only been wrong once. Well, his 2024 call was announced - and ... well tune in (or get past the NYT paywall here).
While more than half the Georgia GOP Congressional representation still peddles "big lie" fodder, MAGA nuts like Nick Fuentes are FURIOUS Donald (finally) conceded he lost "by a whisker" in 2020. He took to Truth Social to backtrack a good bit and whine about the 'weaponization' of the DOJ - leaving out that he sought to do so, himself. Closer to home, a bipartisan group of former elected Georgia officials stepped forward to vouch for the reliability of the state's election system.
Meanwhile, the grandfather of the Apalachee HS shooter squarely blames his grandson's "home environment," and Georgia Democrats may rely on him, the boy's mother and aunt to help convince Republicans in the general assembly to do more on the state's lax gun laws.
