If Kent M$ney’s name doesn’t ring an immediate bell take a look at his past discography and you’ll be impressed with his track record. Having appeared on tracks with the likes of Frank Ocean, Kid Cudi and Ty Dolla $ign among others he has built an incredible body of solo works that have helped him over the last decade keep his movement and journey under his own independent control. He joins us this week to recap most his career up to this point including his origins in Surf Club, his time with HS87, and some of his favorite projects to work on such as 2014’s “Crowned” which caught the attention of Russel Simmons and All Def Digital giving Kent a platform to bring the tracks to life through a series of visual art pieces. Baltimore rapper LuiKangOz has the consistency and integrity you’d want to find in any up and coming MC on the rise. With many collabs with our friends JordanE420 and O.G. Proce$$ as well as a nice solo catalogue he is making his name heard behind an independent movement of artists bringing back that feel good Hip-Hop energy. This week on the podcast he joins us to talk about the local music scene and what the challenges are when it comes to people’s perception of a rapper with his style trying to ascend out of the shadows. This week she joins the show to detail how she has recently picked up producing her own music and what it has taken to learn the Ins and outs of her native DAW to better craft her vision. The positive energy that surrounds Rothstein Beatz has led him to much success so far in his music journey. As he not only produces for many artists including his own label Casino Gang he also is moving the needle on how artists and others in the entertainment world connect with one another to make greatness happen. He joins the podcast this week to discuss his time over on Clubhouse where his “Music Networking No Egos” room has quickly become a staple on the app and has allowed for many incredible collaborations to happen. This week on the podcast we discussed with her the types of aesthetics she enjoys putting together with the help of her close collaborators to present a more in depth audio and visual experience. After dropping her music video for “I Am Not Afraid” she also is also working on a self produced EP and several other pieces to push out in the coming months. From his personality, unmatched talent, and of course his classic fit with a bow tie included, audio engineer IRKO has had quite the journey to get where he is today. You may know his work with the likes of Joey Bada$$, Black Thought, Swizz Beatz and countless others. This week he took some time to join the show where he reflects on some of that journey after moving from Italy to the U.S. and having a brief stint working in New York City which eventually led him to Los Angeles where today he seeks to complete his greatest challenge yet, building his dream studio from the ground up. He broke down the process of hiring a close team of builders and designers to help him construct the new space which is set to open later this fall and how he has documented the experience via his YouTube and social media to give people an inside look into its Inception. We’re hoping to make it out to the studio in person very soon where IRKO will continue to mix many of our favorite records in his own personal playground!

With so much budding talent in the city of Toronto one artist making their voice heard in the crowd is R&B act Meagan De Lima. With a rich musical background and several years releasing quality singles she has been putting in the hard work to see great results. On this episode we discuss her workflow with the engineers and producers who have helped bring her tracks to the forefront as well as her song “You Can” which was selected by Arts Help as the winner for their “Artists for Social Change” contest held for Canadian acts.
