The Public Affair

I’ve always been a HUGE fan of the movie, Freedom Writers, and the portrayal of “Eva” was always one of my favorite roles to have seen been portrayed. April Hernandez-Castillo was passing by town to promote her new memoir, Embracing Me, and she was able to pencil in some time to drop by the show and chat with me! This episode was sooooo “boricua” and I loved every minute of it! Of course, while we were chopping it up, she got to talk about her life growing up, her career, being abused, her abortion, and so much more! It was such an honor meeting this woman, and I’m so thankful she took the time to come on The Public Affair!

Andrew (an up and coming Realtor) and Julia (a Speech Therapist) are a young, successful couple from South Waco with a baby due any second! This couple came on the show to talk about the hardships there relationship faced and how it all brought them back together to be the hot and powerful pair they are today! I always appreciate these kinds of episodes because it truly shows how “imperfect” we all are, no matter how good it looks all over the internet! They held nothing back and, at one point even, Andrew told ME I needed to be more “direct”! So it was on!!!

No for real though, I wish all the best for these 2 and I know they will have a lifetime of happiness!

Everyone who knows Vera knows that she goes extra hard for small businesses and women’s empowerment! What a lot of people didn’t know however, was that Vera has had a pretty sh** upbringing in her life! From being virtually homeless, abused mentally and physically, and so much more. Somehow though, she was able to overcome all those adversities and start the successful Eight Twenty Four Scents & More! This is the first time she publicly speaks on her hard past, but I applaud her and grateful to know her.

As one of the TOP car salesman in the nation, Chad has a lane that he is sticking too and is NOT looking for any approval from anyone! With the high success of his career, he’s also faced tons and tons of criticism, which he addresses all here on the show! I will say this, no matter what negative thoughts others might have of him, Chad is 100% official!!! Loved having this guy on the show and loved meeting him! This is all just the beginning for him!

It’s always a great experience having a media veteran on the show, and Pete Sousa was a damn good time! Pete wears a number of hats, from news anchor on KWTX Channel 10 here in Central Texas, sports commentator and running his own podcast, “The Pay Off with Pete”, he’s definitely an unstoppable juggernaut that I wish to emulate in my longterm career goals! He was super candid about his battle with alcoholism and drug abuse, which was definitely a conversation that had my head spinning! Definitely an honor having the guy on the show!

This couple is THE MOST raw couple I have had to date, ZERO FU**S GIVEN! They were soooo much fun to record with! Carlos and Ruby have known each other since they were kids, and were reunited after the many trials of life! Carlos was very candid about his time as a GIGILO in Las Vegas, and Ruby is just here to support her mans! At the end of it all, they created this super lit small business, RC Customer Hat Shaping, and are taking their community by storm! This one is DEFINITELY not for the faint of heart!

After more than 2 years, this young, sexy, power couple is BACK! Cameron and Claudia have only been adding to their self-built empire and, even with a 5th addition to the family on the way, nothing is holding them back! Cameron & Claudia came back on the show to let us know all that has changed since coming on Episode 7, how they keep their relationship fresh and spicy despite being so busy, and more! Always a good time with these 2!

After 2 years of waiting, Dalyn Montoya was still more than excited to have been invited on The Public Affair! This guy went from being a super prominent rapper, to owning his own business, Montoya’s Construction, LLC. This guys comes as blunt as ever, especially when speaking on the misconceptions of contractors and all the flack they get! I even had a moment where I broke my walls down about some things I had been going through the last few weeks leading up to this episode! Dalyn was an exciting guest to have on the show, and definitely worth the wait!

My boys DJ Terko and DJ Antrix were seamless addictions to the guest list of The Public Affair! At 0930 in the morning, they were still ready to turn up with mimosas and a bottle of 1800! Each of them took a break from DJ’ing after some individual setbacks however, they are hard at work trying to make their breakthroughs as prominent DJ’s! We shared some lit, back in the day, club stories and more! I had another show to record right after this, so needless to say they did a good job buttering me up! Best time for sure!
