I thought I was going to record a podcast on Rest - and decided to show you what rest looks like instead.

I'm taking a 3 week adventure to my place of origin.  I'll be going deep and allowing for some big shifts to happen. I will be working with my amazing clients - and I've decided to do something different on the podcast while I'm away. 

This is me being the example by living and learning out loud. 

I'm going through a MASSIVE up level right now.  And for me REST means space. A Pause. 

And I want to take you along with me by offering a pause here too.

For me, I have to make sure my energy, the connection I share with the Divine, the Intention beyond what I’m doing and my ability to surrender, trust and be a vessel is clear during the entire process.

Guess what?  There’s nothing wrong here - in fact, consider this a gift.  We are the chosen ones who are here to help shift the collective consciousness of the planet on the Energetic + Spiritual level.

So naturally, what you create and put out into the world needs to be in the same regard.

I only knew 90 seconds before I hit record that I was going to be speaking on the trauma in the Coaching Industry.

I had planned on talking about something else - and when I checked in with my body I received the message that no - I’ll be talking about this. 

So many of my clients, colleagues and friends in the coaching industry have been cut off from the inner knowing and guidance that shows up in the moment, urging them to take a direction, an action or speak to a truth that can’t be boxed into the tools of coaching.

This is the result of trauma. 

When we’re told over, and over and over … 

“This is how you build a successful business” 

“You have to be productive”

“If you’re not managing your mind you won’t get the results you want”

I teach coaches how to move deeper into their bodies and understand what their emotions are wanting to express.

This is where divine wisdom + infinite intelligence lives.

And so many of us are still confused about what it is we’re actually feeling because we’re naming emotions based on how we think we’re going to feel, not how we actually feel.

These “feeling ahead of time” sensations I call Shadow Emotions.

And what’s fascinating is that these emotions are in place to protect you from the real experience of the true emotion that indicates you’re threatened.

I understand first hand what it feels like to experience emotion ahead of time - and NOT feel the true emotion in the moment.

I talk about the theory that expresses how your body doesn’t know the difference between an imagined and an actual experience.

I know this theory viscerally. 

AND, as coaches, we’re here to consistently build awareness in ourselves and for our clients. When we do, we’re able to tease apart this theory and give our bodies the opportunity to decipher the difference between an imagined and an actual experience.

My awareness of the structures that have made up my identity for about a year has grown 10 fold. My focus has been on business + work - and it's blown my mind and opened me up in powerful, soul aligning ways.

I'm now bringing this awareness into other structures in my life: Mothering, Partnering, Home.

As I move through a BIGGER shift in my own Identity - I want to share with you what I’m discovering about what upholds who we believe we are.

First, let me remind you why we want to shift our own Identity: because you can’t BE the same person and LIVE a different life. And from what I can tell - there are endless opportunities to grow, evolve and transform into more of what we desire. 

I talk with a lot of coaches who are working really hard to change their thinking, their beliefs, how they feel, what they do and create - so they can become a new version of themselves. 

Then they look to THIS as evidence of their New Identity. And when they notice - same line of thinking / same emotions / same action or inaction / same results they double down on working a new model. 

But all this is actually keeping you from noticing the Structures in place that are upholding your current identity.

They end up spending their precious time and energy reconciling what they no longer want as if it’s something that needs to go away in order to make room for what’s coming in. 

In other words, they thought-work their current experience to death instead of actually experiencing it.

What got you HERE doesn’t require an exit plan - it simply needs loving space to be seen and acknowledged.  When you do this you gain the important skill of holding what was while expanding your capacity for what’s to BE. This creates Allowance. 

BOTH have to exist in order to gain the perspective, energy and instinct to move in a new direction.
