Today I was joined by Chris, Co-Founder of Sourcr, a specialist review platform that allows recruitment agencies to control and publish reviews based on their performance with a HQ in Sydney.

In this episode Chris told the story of how and why he and his partner James created the platform, how receptive the Australian market has been and finally how COVID-19 has affected their business.

Most notably due to the pandemic, these guys are offering the platform for FREE for 3 months across Australia and now entering the UK market with this offer too!

I will be honest, I was pretty dubious about this product until I spoke to the guys and seen it in action. As it integrates with CRM and automates the whole process, I think it will be a real asset to both agency and individual recruiters’ personal brands as we move further into this digital economy.

Today I was joined by David,  Founder of Bailey Jude, an independent recruitment agency specialising in Marketing and Creative talent. 

David has been in the game for 23 yrs, the last 5 of which has been leading his current business. 

In this episode David opened up a number mistakes he has made and what he has learnt as a result. In the early days, whilst still working alone, he decided to take on a 1000ft office space with a 6 year lease. Over the coming years he grew the business to 8 people and that’s when things went wrong for him.

At the turn of 2020, David decided to step out of the office and scale back to just himself in an effort to re set the foundations and have another attempt at growing the business he really desires.

Adam joined me from home in Glasgow, where he usually spends limited time. Flying around the world to discuss his tech platform with prospects is the norm for him and in Apr / May 2019 he flew 88 times! In 2020, he hasn’t left the house (well apart for his 1 hour of exercise :-)

In this episode we talked about how despite the terrible times we find ourselves in, he has personally enjoyed many of the changes and that he now has no plans to revert back to his old ways on the road.

The true highlight has been getting to spend time and learn much more about his young daughter, which I felt was an amazing story that so many of us can relate to!
