James Holeman and Abbey Carpenter of Battalion Search and Rescue (BSAR) comb the deserts of the American Southwest looking for lost or deceased migrants. They work to rescue any people they find in peril and help to reunite family members with the human remains of their lost loved ones. BSAR is a volunteer lead organization performing humanitarian work, free of charge. Episcopal priests, Rev. Francisco Garcia and Rev. Jaime Edwards-Acton discuss their faith in the context of the current immigration raids. Rev. Jaime had 14 members of his congregation swept up in the Los Angeles ICE raids this past June 2025. Both have created a mission called, Sacred Resistance that empowers communities of all faiths to seek justice through love and faith. The Department of Homeland Security is in the midst of an unprecedented hiring increase of 6,000 ICE Agents to 16,000 with financial incentives and lowering of standards to reach its' goals. George Retes was on his way to work when he happened upon an immigration raid in progress. He was stopped by immigration officials. George immediately told them he was a US Citizen. It didn't seem to matter. He was pepper sprayed, his car window was smashed and he was pulled out of his vehicle, zip-tied and eventually held in detention without charges for three days.

Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem has stated that no US Citizens are being detained, in this podcast, George Retes will say otherwise.
