Good morning everyone! So I think today's episode is the episode I've been the most excited for since recording it. Sophia Sulzner aka the western shop specialist aka the punchy posse founder chats with me, and since recording this episode, she's be come one of my good friends.

We recorded back around Chrismas, which was a few weeks ago, and I joined her facebook group, The Punchy Posse, and have been able to watch it grow from the ground up. She's really helped me find my people... and this conversation is where it all began!

Hey you guys! I am back to feeling MUCH better- thank you for understanding last week about not getting an episode. I spent my weekend feeling absolutely awful and icky, and just was NOT up for editing... and THEN I lost my voice for like 3 days... and If you know my in real life, that's a problem because I love to talk.  SO I appreciate all of the patience and grace you've had with me over the last 10 days as I recovered.

This week is Christmas- it's in just a couple days, and Josiah is actually coming home from work he will be here for about a week, and so that we can enjoy our time together, I decided to re-release some of my earlier episodes to get some extra love today and next week! It's wednesday, and that means another epi, friends! I met this week's guest, Megan, on a FB post from a friend who wanted to support local for  the holidays... which is a VERY fitting way to meet someone for this episode.  Her company, Farmstead Meats (& the Farmstead Connection) focus on bringing together a community of producers to sell all together, rather than traditional selling. She and her business partners are intensely community focused- creating a non traditional business model that is just... mind blowing honestly. 

We also chat about the wild fires that damaged California, especially this summer, and about sustainability for producers.

You guys this might be my most favorite episode so far- Megan's passion for educating me, and all of you is intoxicating, and I'll be honest... prior to cutting some of the less relevant snips- like how teaching during COVID is going, and talking in depth about some of the vendors in her store- the episode was almost 100 minutes- and we only stopped recording because it was after 9PM here. This episode was such a joy to record and to release- so I sincerely hope you all learn as much as I did with Megan!
