People Want Your Attention Not Your Time
On today’s #MindsetCheck we talked about time and the idea of energy and being present. I recently heard Jay Shetty say something to the effect that people want your energy, your attention and presence and not your time necessarily. If you think about it, millions and billions of dollars are spent by companies and corporations trying to get your attention & energy. As a father, as a business owner, it’s common for me to feel like I don’t have enough time in my day. This concept really helped me to reframe the way I was looking at how I was spending my time. Instead, now I can focus on where I’m giving my energy, my attention and my presence. Because 10mins of someone’s complete attention is worth more than 1hr with them haphazardly present.
