Why do I feel like I need to be a ‘good girl?

Why do I stay quiet and say nothing when I want to be honest even if it’s hard?

Why do I always have to be nice, simmer down, don’t say too much or don’t ruffle any feathers?

Today I share a blog I wrote called The Good Girl Complex.  Something I wrote after working through months and months of struggle.  Struggling whether to be nice, quiet, drama free, mature or do the hard thing of calling someone out, being courageous and speaking the truth.  

Telling the truth isn’t easy and I believe we lie everyday to others and to ourselves.  We say I’m fine, I can do it, I can take that on

When we really want to say:  I’m struggling, I am not ok, I am lonely.
