There’s just something about the New Year that gets me so excited. As soon as Christmas is over I can’t wait to get out my planner and start mapping out my goals and dreams for the next year. It’s the idea of the clean slate, a fresh start that’s so hopeful. Setting goals and marking our progress from year to year is essential if we want to continue to grow and build the life of our dreams.. However, setting goals means nothing if we aren’t achieving the results that we ultimately desire. Today I’m sharing what I believe is the secret sauce that will empower you to consistently reach the goals you set for yourself.

What makes this journey through motherhood even better is when you find women that will cheer you on no matter what, share the real stuff with you and who shows you what’s possible for yourself. My guest today does all of those things. She is helping to empower the next generation of women through her work in this world but she really leads from the front in making sure to put herself first so that she has a solid foundation for her life. I know you’ll be inspired by this conversation just as I was as Jill share’s why she’s not afraid to ask for help, how she capitalized on her natural gifts and why we are so much more than a mom.
Jill Petersen is a serial optimist with a bubbly personality and animated expressions. She is a wife and mother of two boys and seeks fun in everything she does! She is an experienced coach & former leader at lululemon, where she spent nearly a decade building her passions and career. Her superpower lies within connecting & building trust quickly with others to help people find their greatness. She is the Co-Founder of Girls Mentorship, a girl empowerment company helping girls become their best, brightest, and most confident version of themselves.

The Holidays are magical especially when you’re a mom watching your children experience everything the season brings. But for us moms that usually means lots of “extras” on top of our already full plates. I’m sure you’re no stranger to the messaging around staying healthy through the holidays and when it comes to health and wellness I think most of us know what we need to be doing- moving our body and eating healthy. However, I think where we can get derailed from our own goals this time of year is not knowing WHY it’s important. It’s easy to throw in the towel, eat and drink whatever you want and start again fresh in the new year but if you have intentions for the way you want to FEEL moving through the holidays then making your health and wellness a priority is essential for staying in alignment with those intentions. If we want to show up as the best version of ourselves to experience joy, presence, calm, happiness (insert your intention here) with our loved ones then we need to make sure we are taking care of ourselves. I’m not a health expert by any means but today I’m sharing some simple things that have helped me stay on track with my own health goals during the holidays so that I can show up as the best version of myself.

Over the last few years I’ve seen gratitude become more of a fad on social media than a way of life. Gratitude should not be something we’re just checking off our to-do list. I believe that living a life of gratitude is a feeling not an action and it is a choice we make even when things get hard. This time of year is a great time to reflect on the things that we’re grateful for but it should be a feeling we commit to year round and not just when it’s convenient. Today I’m sharing how I embody gratitude on a daily basis, even when moving through the hardest moments of life.

Have you ever decluttered a room in your house and thought to yourself that the space looked bigger? At the beginning of 2022 I chose the word expansion as my word for the year. A word that embodied what I wanted my year to look like. What happened was the opposite of what you might think. I knew that in order to grow I had to start stripping away things in my life that were taking up space and limiting my ability to expand. We have access to unlimited resources but if we’re not careful we can allow it to start drowning out our own inner voice and intuition. Sometimes in order to grow we need to consume less, do less in order to allow ourselves to realign and make space for the things in life that are truly meant for us.

If you’ve ever returned to work after having a baby and felt misaligned in that position you are so not alone. My guest today Megan Kincaid shares how after she returned to a business she spent over 10 years building and growing she no longer felt that it was a good fit for her and her new role as a mom. We also dive into how she helps women bring in income with real estate and why she formed a local moms group in her community. I got so much from this conversation and I know you will too, Enjoy!
Megan Kincaid had a career and her own business for nearly 10 years before becoming a mother. With her high-achieving, perfectionist personality, she thought becoming a mother would just be another job on her resume and one that she would excel at while still thriving in her business.
Little did she know becoming a mother would transform her completely, and with that, came big career changes. She sold her company and left a decade long business partnership, in hopes of creating an intentional business that compliments her motherhood. She now serves as a real estate advisor and agent in Scottsdale AZ, where she focuses on helping women advance their families through real estate.

I don’t know about you but for me the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas are usually a blur. My already busy schedule and mental load becomes even more jam packed with to-do items which leads to stress, overwhelm and burnout during a time that is supposed to be filled with joy and love. The good news is that we get to choose how we experience this season and over the last several years I’ve committed to feeling content, calm and present in a way that is aligned with my priorities and my family. The key is to start thinking about the Holidays maybe a little sooner than we’re used to.
