This shit was harder than I thought it would be.

Mooch has had several trips to the vet since September. But I’ve taken her to them all. She’s always come home with me before. Until today.

You don’t realize how used to your routine that you are until it’s broken. Mooch went out the door at 6:45 AM this morning with my Bride. I barely had time to give her the pre-surgery pill the vet gave us last week before they had to book it to the early morning appointment.

I didn’t even get to kiss her tiny little head before they left. I was half asleep getting her ready. Once they were gone, I was so sad.

I talk about this and how much she means to me in today’s podcast. Mooch is our dog of a lifetime. I know that many of you can relate to such a thing. She just has to be ok. Going under anesthesia is a scary thought. But she’ll be home before we know it.

I’m telling myself this as I’m going through the motions of the day before we can finally pick her up.

I love those song lyrics, from one of my favorite bands, Guns N’ Roses, from their song “November Rain.” I understand them. As a writer who puts 12-15 hours into his writing and podcasts every single day, while living under the same roof as 4 other young and older adults, I get it.

I need solitude, much of the time. Mooch is the only one in the room with me for most of my workday.

I love my family. I greatly enjoy the time we spend together. But I couldn’t do what I do daily if people were constantly around making noise. Weekends when they’re off work and school aren’t the easiest to deal with. But I power through it, and it’s balanced out because our home is quiet most of the weekdays.

I was thinking about this today and how it relates to people around the world. There is so much suffering going on because of the Trump regime. War is a motherfucker. And I so feel for these families that have no peace, quiet, and the feeling of safety as we Americans do.

I rarely get to celebrate a political win anymore.

Sure, most courts bitch-slap Traitor Trump’s ridiculous lawsuits and illegal actions. Those are fun to see. He loses about 80% of his court cases at this point. But there’s something even sweeter about a smug, lawbreaking asshole getting his.

Or hers, in this case.

Reading about Kristi Noem getting fired today made my black little heart grow three sizes bigger. I smiled hugely for the first time in a long time about political news. It couldn’t have happened to a more deserving twatzi like Kristi Gnome.

Sure, they’re replacing her with another damn douchenozzle. Things likely won’t change much. But I recognize how important it is to celebrate these wins. They’re so rare but important to our mental health.

It was a strange walk today for Mooch and me. Things weren’t quite right.

What is the carpet-bombing fuck is this “Armageddon is happening before Jesus returns to Earth” bullshit from the Trump Administration?

Military personnel from several branches have lodged formal complaints about this message they’re receiving from their higher-ups. Evidently, over 120 servicemen/women have complained about this. And Christ on a battleship, rightfully so.

This type of rhetoric will get people killed. We’ve already lost several American lives because the pedophile president likes fucking little girls and doesn’t want to go to prison over it. This shit has to end before anyone else loses their lives over the Chutney Chomo.

I read something disturbing as fuck this morning. I don’t know what to believe, honestly.

Iran claims that they’ve killed 560 American troops during intense bombings of several targets. Some articles claim that it’s 560 casualties, meaning deaths and injuries combined. The US claims that this is bullshit.

But how would we even know? It’s not like we can trust mainstream media anymore.

I talk about this in today’s episode. I’m curious if you believe the Trump administration, the Iranian spokespeople, mainstream media, or none of the above. We’re being lied to constantly by our own government, so it’s difficult for me to believe most of what I read or hear.

I had a thought about today’s topic, as I carried Mooch the length of our neighborhood park today.

I can’t seem to talk our little old lady into decent walks lately. I get it, she’s almost 14. So I have to get a hold of her and do the heavy lifting. Sorry, Mooch. You’re sorta chunky. But she’s still quite spry. I just feel she’s a little lazy.

Sort of like Americans, when it comes to turning out to vote or protest.
