Jim shares a lot of information regarding private placements and what’s the effect on investors with marketers becoming more creative with their sales pitches. About Jim Maffuccio:

Mr. Maffuccio is a 30-year real estate veteran and an expert in mortgage notes. He is deeply networked in the secondary mortgage industry and is responsible for acquisitions and underwriting as well as relationships with primary sources and key vendors.

Maffuccio received his degree in civil engineering from Louisiana State University in 1979. Upon graduating, Mr. Maffuccio moved to the West Coast and gained extensive project management experience with Exxon.

Their favorite city was always New Orleans so when Steve sold out of his Australian company he decided to take his family on a 6-month vacation to the Big Easy. 2 months into the vacation they realized that they couldn’t leave the city so got a Visa based on starting a business and investing in the USA (E2 Visa). That business was Home Buyer Louisiana and Steve is now dedicated to revitalizing blighted houses for new homeowners and tenants. He is a passionate Saints fan and attends most games in the Dome with his wife and children. He is proud to call New Orleans home now and contribute to growing the New Orleans economy.
