On episode 107 of Flickin’ It, Matt and Will talk about Saw X. Having only ever seen the first two Saw movies, Matt was a little out of his element. Luckily Will is a study of Saw canon. For the 10th movie in an almost gore porn horror franchise, Saw X was actually really good. We spend some time trading reviews on movies that one of us had seen, but not the other. Episode 10 of Matt and Mike Read Comics is the ultimate…universe. Remember this thing? It’s hard to believe that this grim and bleak alternate version of the Marvel universe populated by absolute dickhead “heroes” is what the MCU that we all know and love is based off of. Mark Millar and Marvel wanted to shock people with their borderline insane take on the beloved heroes of Marvel who are normally likable. These Ultimates (the Avengers) are not likable in any way. Except for Hawkeye. Hawkeye rules in these books. We take a look at the first three Ultimate story arcs and how they make their key heroes progressively less likable. On episode 143 of Talking Tacos the boys are joined by their FIRST hot sauce guest and good friend, Neil, from Shore Sauce. We got the privilege of trying his newest sauce, Lime Lagoon and let me tell you, it was life changing. When they say, “I’d put that shit on everything”, we really would here. Matt also brought a bunch of bullshit hot sauces for us to try to balance out the scales of justice. Tune in and grab your tequilas.

On episode 106 of Flickin It Matt and Will are fresh out of the theater from opening weekend of The Marvels. The first thought that we have is…fuck the haters. It’s always fashionable to hate the popular thing and the MCU was the top of superhero movies, giving us what we have come to know as definitive superhero content. But lately people have been shitting all over it for no real reason. Yes, Love and Thunder was not good. Quantumania underwhelmed. And OH NO!! She-Hulk had a scene where she twerked!! How could you, Marvel??? Well for those of us that don’t have time to listen to the neckbeard haters that have become worse than Star Wars fandom, The Marvels was a delight. The most fun we’ve had at the theater in a while and on top of delivering on the classic MCU formula with great action and surprisingly strong character moments, they also leaned in the absurdity that is becoming Marvel Cosmic while making us catch our breath and cheer out loud with some amazing late credit and after credit teases. It will make you fall in love with Marvel again. But this episode is FILLED with spoilers.

On episode 142 of Talking Tacos the boys go trick or treating. As adults, we call that bar hopping. Chris was taking the Tuesday off to go take his kid actual trick or treating, leaving Bill and Matt to hold down the taco fort with extra drinks and extra fun. Yes, Bill and Matt went to Loteria and Barrio in full costume. It was every bit as fun as you’d expect. We talk trick or treating strategy and reminisce on college days and try a spicy dill hot sauce.

Episode 35 of Canon Fodder is our FOURTH annual Halloween special. This year it’s the Nightmare on Elm Street series which, like most classic horror movie series, has several movies of varying quality within. Featuring the original six movies, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, the unwatchable 2010 remake, and the highly enjoyable Freddy vs Jason. Did you know that there was actually a TV show too? On episode 141 of Talking Tacos the boys hang with Tobias Eats. It was a pleasure showing Tobias first hand the glory of Tuesdays, and we had a blast doing it.
