Matt and Mike Read Comics episode 9 is a Star Wars special. Matt and Mike (and Melissa) round up the complete Darth Vader run by Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larroca. These stories take place in between the original trilogy and focus on Vader’s own machinations against the Emperor and the Emperor’s bizarre quest to possibly replace Vader. Melissa has some good questions for us and we educate her as true comic book aficionados would. Recorded at the Secret Stash!

Flickin’ It episode 105 is on Blue Beetle and the state of the DCEU, affectionately known at the Revue Podcast Network as the DC Disaster. Blue Beetle was honestly a delightful surprise, yet not without its flaws. The DCEU as a whole is still…well, we’ll just have to wait and see at this point. Because who the fuck knows??

On episode 139 of Talking Tacos the boys talk conspiracy theories. From Russell Brand to the alien Mexican cake, we cover it all. We also try an overpriced hot sauce from the Pepper Palace that was straight fire; the bad kind of fire. Matt’s got fucked up elbows. Chris sauced Bill by sneaking some terrible hot sauce onto a chip…and a churro. Bill gets rocked with hot sauce.

On episode 138 of Talking Tacos the boys go to Sea Hear Now. Bill and Matt have different experiences at Sea Hear Now, neither one of them is all that great. Bill gets REALLY drunk. Chris gets mad at Matt for the Barrio taco review that Chris gave (it doesn’t make sense to anyone). We hit the streets in Asbury Park. AND! Introducing! Greg, the Kitchen Magician from Casually Sauced returns to deliver the boys their very own hot sauce, Tuesday Night Heat. Greg absolutely knocks it out of the park with this creation which you can buy!! THAT’S RIGHT!! DM the podcast or your favorite boy to purchase!

Flickin’ It is the name we’re stickin’ it. Or something. Episode 104 is up and we review Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which was surprisingly great, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. Admittedly, Mutant Mayhem is a dumb name, but the movie was fantastic. Rise of the Beasts is in many ways a sequel to the excellent Bumblebee, but still feels like its own movie. Is it possible that they’re actually doing some proper world-building in the Transformers universe? The cameo in that last scene though…

On episode 137 of Talking Tacos the boys survive the #onechipchallenge. Do we get cancelled for making jokes about the kid that didn’t? We take a trip to El Rey since Loteria was closed after the Bond St. Block Party, Bill lost his keys. We honor Mr. Buffet and the guy from Smash Mouth and ruthlessly makefun of the stupid Illuminati nonsense of Asthon Kutcher and Mila Kunis’ letter to the judge in support of rapist Danny Masterson.

On episode 8 of Matt and Mike Read Comics we tackle the first part of Marv Wolfman and George Perez’s legendary run on Teen Titans. The NEW Teen Titans to be exact. Breathing new life into long standing characters and introducing us to incredible new ones, this run on Teen Titans defined the team and its members for years to come and inspired much of what came after.

On episode 136 of Talking Tacos, the boys go on an outdoor adventure with special guest Patrick, from New Jersey Outdoor Adventures. And the adventure was eating tacos outside. Patrick had some great stories for us and we also talked about the Burning Man fiasco, the vengeance of Paqui One Chip, the fact that our shithead governor Phil Murphy designated Monmouth County as SOUTH Jersey, and much more.

On episode 135 of Talking Tacos the boys get Casually Sauced. Well, we do that pretty much every week, but this week was special because Greg from Casually Sauced finally made it to the show. He came bearing the gift of gifts. A one-time-only-special-edition-never-to-be-tasted-by-humans-ever-again hot sauce made SPECIALLY for the boys at Talking Tacos. What? Isn’t that enough? The boys have a great time just hanging out this week. The Clam Club was here too, but we ran out of microphones for them.
