We review a hot sauce from our Virgin Islands private stock, talk about Doctor Dave’s memory issues, Matt’s entry into the Twin Lights Mug Club ™, and much more.

SHAZAM! COCAINE! What do these two things have in common? Absolutely nothing. Matt and Will have seen both Shazam: Fury of the Gods and Cocaine Bear in recent weeks and we have some thoughts. Shazam was a relative disappointment, especially when compared to how good the first movie was. There’s a lot to like in this movie, but there’s a lot that makes you go “HUH”. Cocaine Bear was everything you’d expect it to be and more. Nothing like watching children eat spoonfuls of cocaine (yes this actually happens in the movie) and then see Ray Liotta get his intestines ripped out by a couple of baby cubs who are ALSO racked on cocaine. Did you know that this was Ray Liotta’s last movie? Wooboy.

On episode 113 of Talking Tacos, the boys got that rizz, featuring special guest, Will of the Ready Set Revue! We have a testing of TWO sauces from our new friends out west, Pepper Crusaders. We discuss if the Big Lebowski is a dude’s movie (no pun intended), ChatGPT, TikTok’s potential ban, and of course, that rizz. Matt also chronicles his journey to crooked bite town, probably not a result of getting smacked in the face by his dentist when he was 6 (it was a Florida dentist, no surprise). Grab your mezcals.

On episode 112 of Talking Tacos, the boys are heckin chonkers. The boys use their linguist skills to define what a chonker is and how to properly pronounce words like “bagel” and “syrup”. Apparently Matt struggles in this regard. Matt tells us all about the future of America in Buc-Cees, we talk about learning when Santa was fake, Toberlone (again), and review a sauce from Casually Sauced. Grab your tequila and listen in!

Episode 93 of Ready Set Revue is all about Scream 6, and a little bit about AMC’s weird tiered seating pilot program. Scream 6 was wild, as Will and Matt attest, and it only is going to get wilder if Scream 7 happens. There were EXCESSIVE gut stabs in this movie, extra gore (but tasteful) and some very strong character development from the newly named “Core Four”. Both Will and Matt called the killer pretty early, which is unusual for a Scream movie, but that didn’t take anything away from this wonderful movie. Also, fuck off AMC with your weirdo tiered-seating approach. $15 is enough for a movie ticket already.

On episode 111 of Talking Tacos, the boys miss Matt. Like, really really miss him. Someone named PAT Magnifico tried to coerce the boys into forgetting Matt, but it didn’t take. In classic Doctor Dave fashion, he broke first on the challenge of going the entire episode without mentioning Matt. This week, with Matt on vacation, Chris was a champion and worked the board and did it flawlessly. Shore Sauce’s mango habanero makes a surprise #onechip appearance. Toblerone is apparently outsourcing their production to a place where they aren’t allowed to use the trademark Matterhorn. Kids piss on the walls of Netti’s. Twin Lights rules. On episode 110 of Talking Tacos, los chicos comen tacos malos. For the first time maybe ever, the boys had a not-so-great taco at Loteria. This week’s special was a chorizo and potato taco which longtime listeners will recognize as the key ingredients in the OG classic, El Jefe. However, this was no El Jefe. It wasn’t bad, it just…was. Our #onechipchallenge this week was a sauce from our friends at Whitehouse Station. We also talk Tik Tok bans, Kevin Hart memes, stupid ass fuckface cops, Jake Paul v. Tommy Fury, and much more!

On episode 109 of Talking Tacos the boys commit tax fraud. But not really, so please fuck all the way off, IRS. But for real, it’s theft season, I mean tax season, and we talk about a few old war stories of doing our taxes. Doctor Dave recounts his hot sauce trip from last week. Chris shares favorite pod memories, and steals a lot of beer. Netflix PW sharing oopsies. Chernobyl, Ohio. Adidas and Kanye West. We also review a hot sauce El Matate right here in Asbury Park and Chris takes an entire spoonful of Tongue Burner’s OMFG hot sauce for FIVE MINUTES. It’s a good one.

Episode 29 of Canon Fodder begins our three part series on the gone, but not forgotten, era of Marvel TV. This three part series will encompass what are almost three separate universes, the ABC shows like Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter, the Netflix shows like Daredevil and Jessica Jones, and the Hulu shows like Cloak and Dagger. On this episode we discuss Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter, and the short-lived Inhumans. These three shows make up their own little universe and have strong claims to canon and equally strong cases against MCU canon. Listen to us break it all down in part 1.

On episode 108 of Talking Tacos, the boys watch Dave get hurt. Our Director of Hot Sauce acquisition guest stars on this special Valentine’s Day episode with a special gift, the Paqui One Chip. It was meant to be split between all of the boys, but Doctor Dave took it all for himself and almost died. It was great content. Our special Valentine’s Day hot sauce was from our friends at Cooper’s Small Batch and appropriately called Smoking Hot Date. It was a banger sauce. We also talk about the overrated Rhianna Super Bowl halftime show.
