The Revue Podcast Network

Will and Matt are here to give you their best TV shows and movies of 2022. It was a good years for fans. Top five of each, plus some good honorable mentions. What were your favorites in 2022?

On episode 101 of Talking Tacos, the boys successfully order a pizza without alerting the authorities. Yes, we’re making fun of that neanderthal moron, Andrew Tate. If you don’t know the story, the boys are now your source of news. Doctor Dave is our 2022/23 Fantasy Football season champion, vanquishing his opponent, enemy of the podcast. We try Colon Cleaner hot sauce and it’s…good. Surprises all around. Grab your tequilas.

The 2022 Canon Fodder wrap up is here with new details on past episodes. In 2022 we got a brilliant new installment in the Alien/Predator franchise with ‘Prey’. This movie was released directly on Hulu and it was easily the best Predator property since the original movie. Creed III trailer has dropped in a big way. Clerks III dropped emotions all over our face (see last episode) in addition to some brilliant new one-shot comics called Quick Stops, written by Kevin Smith. That and more in our 2022 wrap up. Cheers to 2023!

Will and Matt saw one very good movie and one very terrible movie in the last week. You'll have to listen to the episode to find out which one is which.

Talking Tacos episode 100 is here. The boys are now a real podcast, as they say in the biz. First off, we apologize for forgetting to turn on our fifth guest mic, so we have a slight audio quality issue with our guest microphone. But the reason that happened was because we were all so flabbergasted by our surprise decorations for episode 100 that our Director of Hot Sauce Acquisitions snuck into Loteria. Giant balloons, taco confetti, and a monstrous taco shaped cake (which was delicious). But the bit was that everyone was in on it. Alejandra and the entire staff had a different story about who set up the decorations for us. Our one chip challenge this week was brought to us by our dear friend Shanna, of the Bond St Complex. It was amazing! We’re all over the place on episode 100 which was absolutely magical. Thank you everyone that made this night so special! Cheers to the next 100!

Episode 99 of Talking Tacos is here. That’s one before 100, for those of you keeping track. We’re joined this week by special guests Jenna and Courtney and the gringo tacos. Matt was an idiot and scheduled his Rotten Tomato Fantasy League draft at the same time as tacos, so he spends most of his time drafting and talking about his dumb movie picks. But he takes the appropriate time to shit on Avatar because it’s a terrible movie. Meme of the Week ™ makes a brief return because Zoolander memes, for some reason, are trending right now. No idea why, but they are. Doctor Dave explains why soccer is a bad sport. Chris and Matt explain their “rivalry”. And our hot sauce this week is from local company, Sauce Bae, and it’s their Hotter Habanero sauce with turmeric. Tequila and tacos baby!

Brace yourself movie fans, it’s a double dose of Ready Set Revue as we bring you a Double Secret Probation Episode; the 2023 Rotten Tomatoes Fantasy League PRE-Draft Revue Podcast. It was so massive that we had to put it in two parts, so make sure you don’t crap out after just one. League commissioner, Parker, joins Matt as always for the chat and this time we are joined by an extra special guest who has played in the league since its inception, but always drafted superhero movies; Mr. Michael Dunn. This episode was recorded before we did our 2023 draft. We broke down some potential top picks in various movie categories, talked about pros and cons of each, and predicted who would draft what. Our regular post-draft revue episode will drop in a few weeks. This was recorded at Manayunk Studios in Manayunk, PA. Thanks to the crew there for taking care of us!

On episode 98 of Talking Tacos, the boys get especially stoned, thanks to special guest, West Coast Andrew Stone. On sabbatical from his California haunt, friend of the podcast Andrew Stone surprises the boys with a guest spot. We get the inside scoop on LA life. Our hot sauce this week was Ghost Ship Hot Sauce that was procured by our Director of Hot Sauce Acquisitions from St. John Spice shop in Cruz Bay, St. John. We discuss unintentional crime, favorite makeshift bongs, and AOC feet pics.

Episode 84 of Ready Set Revue is our 2022 Holiday Spectacular! Will and Matt have watched the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special on Disney Plus and saw Violent Night in theaters. Both of these were excellent in their own way. Violent Night was absurdly over the top, but had some hallmark (no pun intended) elements of good Christmas movies. The Guardians Holiday Special was surprisingly heartwarming with a healthy dose of the shenanigans that you’ve come to expect from this group. There was also a surprising amount of world and continuity building, which appears to be setting up some elements for Guardians 3. Check it out and be prepared for spoilers.
