Ready Set Revue is back after a short break to talk about what everyone is talking about, The Batman. What a damn near perfect movie and possibly the best Batman movie ever made. Matt and Anthony are in pretty solid agreement on this one. Matt also takes over the contrarian position usually reserved for Anthony with a little bit of Dark Knight bashing. Robert Pattinson delivers a performance for the ages as Batman, and we say that because there isn’t a whole lot of Bruce Wayne in this movie - but that’s OK. The movie takes place early on in Batman’s career and it makes perfect sense for it to be that way. Zoe Kravitz’s take on Catwoman is unique and fits well with Battinson. The standout of the movie is probably Colin Farrell’s Penguin. God damn, this dude stole every scene that he was in, even providing a little bit of comic relief. Bring a piss bag if you haven’t seen it yet; it’s 3 hours long AND you have to stay for the after credit scene!

On episode 64 of Talking Tacos the boys do their shittiest SNL impression with an impromptu cold open because Chris got a flat on his bike. What a dope. Doctor Dave’s tribute Putin insult quickly devolves into a long conversation on fetishes that apparently certain historical dictators like. And we’re talking about the gross shit. At dinner. In public. In doors. Yikes. We also dissect the stupidity of “avocado hand” and explain why bacon at a steakhouse is a gimmick. Grab a glass of tequila and join in.

On episode 62 of Talking Tacos, the boys go to war. Not really, we’re just eating tacos and drinking tequila, but who the fuck knows these days. It’s crazy that we are basically watching a war play out on social media because all of the soldiers have a phone and a Tik Tok. Ukrainian farmers are stealing Russian tanks because the soldiers are getting lost in the remote areas of the country while Ukrainian women are catfishing idiot Russian soldiers to steal intel. Basically, Russian soldiers are the Bennys of the Ukraine. For those non-NJ listeners that don’t know what a Benny is, they’re a special kind of garbage person that comes from the general New York area to make life at the Jersey shore miserable for locals between Memorial Day and Labor day every single year.

Doctor Dave loses a bet and we try some new hot sauces from the dessert, Kill Sauce. Delicious and hot all around. Plus the boys share stories about getting lost in some shady fucking areas. We’ve all been there before. Pull up your chair and your tequila for this one.

On episode 62 of the podcast, Bill and Doctor Dave return from their desert vacation and have some stories. Hikes, tattoos, weed, views, and running out of gas. It was a trip. We also have a hot sauce trifecta this week with THREE different sauces, all of which were great. Our final bottle from the Moon Goddess stash, a new blueberry and habanero sauce, and special guest Ed breaks out one from Kentucky. Tuesdays are made for tacos and tequila and we have plenty of both this week.

Canon Fodder episode 21 is our 2021 year in revue, interestingly enough. For our second annual revue roundup, we take a look back at all of the fictional universes that we've visited not just in 2021, but during our first year in 2020 as well. The universes are ever-expanding.

We cover a LOT in this episode, the least of which is:

After an eternity away because winter sucks, the boys are finally back in the glorious green room of Asbury Park Distilling for episode 61 of Talking Tacos. With special guest, Pals, we annihilate another bottle of delicious hot sauce from Moon Goddess hot sauces. The pork rib tacos also makes its glorious return and we all cum just a little from it. Meme of the week and lots of actual taco talk this week. It's a good one so pull up some tequila and let's get weird.

On episode 60 of Talking Tacos, the boys finish the bottle. It's a first timer for us as we completely destroy the bottle of Emerald Slime from Sauce Leopard. Easily one of the best hot sauces we've ever had.

We also talk about Bill Belichecks lawsuit text, more Spotify nonsense, and the trucker convoy in Canada. We also investigate whether or not the When We Were Young festival is legit. It's definitely probably not. Day 182 without Asbury Park Distilling.

On episode 59 of Talking Tacos, the boys talk about the absurd news regarding Neil Young and Spotify. Everyone just needs to calm the fuck down. We also review some new hot sauces from a Denver based company called Sauce Leopard and they were an infinite improvement over the grenade garbage that we had last week. The Mix Podcast, presented by the Local Fix Foundation, returns! Matt and Chris sit down with Shanna, their favorite general manager of tacos at the one and only Loteria in Asbury Park (of Talking Tacos fame). We talk with Shanna about her journey at Loteria to become the GM and the many positions held before, how Loteria cultivated it's incredible culture and food, how they made it through the pandemic, and much more. Of course we had some cocktails and tacos while we talked. It was a great time and we hope you enjoy the conversation.
